  • You can almost hear the lightbulb go off...the direction of this series is taking a great turn and all it took was me to start reading the information that pops up on the screen...I'm guilty of rarely reading anything on screen but I think I'll change that after this discovery!

    so this discovery you've made, the wood info panel and set the cut target length feature, must be "Forestry Helper" mod, not "LumberJack". Very good one, I like it a lot.
    and I think having one of those grapples for your small tractor will help massively with loading trees to the conveyor belt, those are not expensive either. but I mean I'm down for some struggle time, so no biggie if you decide to keep the current setup :)

      @northernfarmsim  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Ah, that makes sense…forestry helper. So much good info that I’ve completely ignored, lol. And I agree….a better grab for the logs makes sense. Especially if I buy another wood lot. 🤔

    That's why I love the devour tree mod.

    Very cool chipping setup! Never tried this one. I thought selling logs was a good deal, but chipping might be the golden ticket! Great episode, my friend!

    Cool episode buddy.
    The plot you bought I have actully looked at that but I have build on the starter plot now.
    The Massey take a nap 😅😅😂
    it was a good thing you sold the grill because the sausages were never finished 😂😂😂

      Ha ha…I don’t think those sausages were going to taste very good after that much time on the grill!

    i could swear i just clicked play and the episode is already over, youtube is lying to me that it was 53 minutes D:
    You´re right, in terms of profitability the slurry yard is more profitable, but having something different is also nice once in a while =)
    Can´t wait to see if there will be a neat farmyard on the new plot, i just have to be patient i guess (although i´m a very impatient person by nature xD )

    Some mighty chipping there, a great solution for your forestry. The new block of land looks like a beaut. I wonder if there are any placeable Polish farmhouses that you can actually go inside? It would be cool to keep in with the local vibe 😎

      I’ve been trying to find the right house but no luck so far. I haven’t found anything you can interact with that also fits the map….well…there is one but it’s not so much a house….

    A long time back I put a bunch of time in to that wood crusher, it looks much improved from when I tried it. The loading use to jam up a bunch.

    • @northernfarmsim

      It’s pretty smooth but still jams up a bit. Patience is key 👍 Also that conveyer belt makes it for me.

  • @eumesmo_oficial
    @eumesmo_oficial 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Well... after 68 hours of hard work, low cash, the first main production is running.
    Now, I can accept the fertilizing contracts. I already have some solid fert ready.
    Manure will be a must always, high consumption, but if I get more cows...more manure...more food too, lol.
    Field 207 is basically grass to hay. (feeding the cattle).
    Stones I have a lot... 100k liters of lime...and plowing contracts have a season too, not every field that needs plows.
    I have only 7k in cash, but no loams.
    next step... get a powerful tractor above 200hp and the fert spreader...
    I'm just sharing a little about my experience on this map and with one of the most hardest ways to start a map.
    I was ready to buy the plot 234...when I loaded for the first time...250k in cash...less the loam.
    but when I saw the tractor dx140 and the 6m plow... I changed my mind and start with this new rules.
    only buying land after 30% discount and the fertilizer production to use it.
    I'm not trying to promote myself or anything... just sharing my game play influenced by this awesome group of players...like you.
    Thank you!

    • @northernfarmsim
      @northernfarmsim  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah keep sharing for sure. I like the ideas people share. The idea of not being able to buy a piece of land until after you’ve done enough contracts to achieve a certain discount is an interesting one…you have to get a bit luck I guess that you’re going to get enough contracts on a single piece to qualifies but it would definitely add length to the play-thru.
      Also…I always forget about stores. Maybe I’ll have to clear the stones on this map…I never pickup stones and I also never roll so maybe I could add both to this challenge.

      @@northernfarmsim
      138 contracts... 78hrs in the game.
      The better contracts, to get the discounts, it is for working to the same owner and different fields.
      After buying the plot, resets the discounts.
      start over.
      and if you take too many "years" sometimes, changes the owner and you lost the "counted jobs".
      Now, I'm only making money... plowing, fertilizing and harvesting contracts.
      zero costs for fertilizer, contracts pay more.
      Sometimes this map sucks, because 99% of the harvesting contracts are for root crops.
      and soon, the milk will make some extra cash.
      only feeding the cows with hay and straw.
      80k of stones, 100k of lime... 20k solid fert....12k digestate.
      3 contracts of straw crop...i got 320k liters of straw.
      I did 11 fert contracts and only spend 1k liters of solid fert.
      almost 20k in cash...

      I was looking at that but may reserve it for the next "starting from scratch" series...The amount of wood chipping that's coming in the next episodes is mind numbing and I might die if I try to do it as firewood, lol

  • @eumesmo_oficial
    @eumesmo_oficial 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The fertilizer production that i'm using gives the outcome, digestate and the solid fertilizer.
    Intake- lime, manure and water.
    Output- digestate and solid fert.
    Slurry yard from MissyB is very profitable.
    Just need the mini bga, one good size silage bunker right on the side of the bga...2 belt systems and grass.
    The amount of "digestate" is insane... selling this digestate at the slurry point... millions and millions of cash.
    There is a mod that keeps the "motors" of the belts on all time.
    Put the conveyor belts direct on the bga silage intake...and done.
    That small "ramp" had a good range to loading the silage to the main conveyor belt...grimm 2000 or something.
    (if you speed up the time, there is a glitch with the bga and the "digestate" ratio production that multiply the outcome by a lot.)
    That's why everybody uses this mini bga to "make" digestate.

    • @northernfarmsim
      @northernfarmsim  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I used to love how Farmer Klein would set up conveyor belts to move his silage out of his bunkers…I tried it a few times but never had any luck but it’s a smart way to do it for sure. I think I’m going to abound the slurry yard for now on this map…I have it on the other maps I’m playing so I wanted to try something different…and you’ll see that in the next episode, the money situation is taking a bit of a drastic turn….

      large silage bunker are "faster" to make money when playing with seasonal growth on.
      5 million liters of silage in the bunker, ferments in 36hrs.
      the silage bale with 4k liters takes 400hrs.
      Things that Giants do it for us...
      like "re-paint" the tractor and keeping the dirt. Must be a impossible task for the painter.

      A very large area...lose straw, 2 belts...bga is done.
      No need to compact...to mow... just need to collect the straw from contracts.
      Just a detail that I realize now... do the same with straw.
      less work, for free...even from silos, just need to unload over the conveyor belt.
