For a Hilton property, there is no excuse for a room like this and its totally unacceptable. At least you did the right thing and got another room. Never in my travel career did I ever see a mattress soaked in pee.
That is terrible. Housekeeper should be fired. And the owners should be seriously questioned. Hampton does have certain standards, they aren't high, but cleanliness is one of them.

That’s why I check the mattresses first and work my way around from there. Bring a blacklight and a pair of rubber gloves just in case. We stay in Hamptons frequently and almost always get a free upgrade to a studio. That studio isn’t typical of what we’ve seen, in that it has a separate bedroom. We’ve encountered the lack of utensils in the “kitchen” area and some of the hotels have signs that say you have to request them. Hampton is usually pretty good but it is the bottom of the line of the Hilton chain. It’s great if you’re on a budget but it’s no frills. This looks like a conversion from a different brand of hotel. And they have some staffing problems in the housekeeping department. Lack of good lighting has continually been a problem, so if a light doesn’t work, it’s especially bad. That bed stain would have had me on the phone with Hilton Corporate before I could put down the camera. I’ve actually seen worse at a Hampton but that was before I started doing hotel videos. Hilton has since dumped that property.
William Stonehocker I wasn’t aware than Hampton was ever not a part of Hilton. Most of the ones we’ve stayed at are much newer than 20 years old. With the exception of the one in Chattanooga by the airport that had exterior doors and everything in the room was dripping wet. That’s the property they dumped. It was previously a Motel 6. Not sure why Hilton had even allowed it to become a Hampton.
@@504RoadTrips FYI, the Hampton Inn franchise was created by the owners of Holiday Inn. They were sold and have been sold a few times before being bought by Hilton. Hampton Inn was a purely new build only franchise meaning little to no conversions. There were a few conversions prior to 2010, but very rare. After 2010, Hilton is allowing a lot more conversions, but much stricter standards than a new build. The first Hampton Inn was built in Memphis, TN currently operating as a Motel 6. The Chattanooga location was also a new build (their 2nd property). The property expanded twice by adding two additional building to the rear. One of the rear buildings has interior corridors.
