Thanks brother. I literally watched you video before dreadfully deciding to go on a 8 miler for under 2 hours. I followed your exact advice and I made it with 5 mins to spare. I’m the type that never rucks and as I prepare for selection I was feeling very ill prepared for a 12 miler. So sincere thanks. I will definitely request some tips from you in the near future
@@299scouts8 Can you do a video on how you pack a ruck in general for ranger school? One that applies to your average, run-of-the mill packing list. Appreciate it man
th-cam.com/video/7KDDzow3xps/w-d-xo.html I had my sleep system plus MREs on the bottom. You’ll also have to pack a sleep mat. Uniforms in the center. What they call squad equipment like ammo, rope, claymores in the top. Camelback clipped to the outside. I’d say it was 65lbs or more.
I like the run hard downhill carefully. Walk up hill. And trot 2 minutes and walk a minute. But I did that at the best shape of my life with fresh legs.

Great tip.
I’ve been working on ruck marching, and trying new things out to get better at them, so I’ll be sure to give this trick a try. Thanks!
