Drill 16 Managing a Corner: Virus Lockdown Pistol Drills
มุมมอง 1894 ปีที่แล้ว
Drill 16 isn't a how-to procedure for gunfighting in your living room. It's yet another isolated drill for you to build skills of minimizing exposure to the threat and getting comfortable with changing levels. I'm no lawyer, but before you start down the road of learning how to clear your home, you should know your local laws regarding retreat and use of force. Surefire X300 amzn.to/3dOQM3L Sur...
Drill 15 Compressed High Ready: Virus Lockdown Pistol Practice
มุมมอง 2404 ปีที่แล้ว
Drill 15 is an introduction to the compressed high ready. The variant I use is a modification of Center Axis Relock developed by Paul Castle. Center Axis Relock never really took off outside a few obscure gunfighting schools and pop culture like Splinter Cell and John Wick, but I feel elements of the style have merit. Keep an open mind and let me know what value you see in this style. Mag block...

Drill 13 Using Cover: Virus Lockdown Pistol Practice
มุมมอง 1014 ปีที่แล้ว
Drill 13 is my absolute favorite drill; Time Crisis. It tests what I consider the top priorities, can I seek cover and effectively engage from behind cover. Being fast and accurate when peeking out from behind cover and concealment is absolutely critical in a fight. We run this drill with 6 rounds but you can obviously add more as long as your cardio holds out. Mag blocks amzn.to/2WEboGG Laser ...
Drill 12 Multiple Targets: Virus Lockdown Pistol Practice
มุมมอง 1154 ปีที่แล้ว
Drill 12 addresses a pet peeve of mine, people who mag dump into a single target. The problem with this becomes apparent if you have multiple targets trying to kill you. Even shooting two rounds at the first two targets might take too much time when target 3 wants to kill you. That's where the 1-1-2-1-1 drill comes in. Every target gets one shot before anyone gets seconds. Mag blocks amzn.to/2W...

My wife is interested in learning this down here in Southern California. What school would you suggest for this? She was very impressed with the tutorial on paralax and scope setting and how it all works from the multiple planes to the scope distances from eye to scope, etc. Thank you for such a great tutorial and hope to hear back from you.

Day 8. Hah. Tell you what though the first few weeks were a shitload of fun if you and your friends played video games. Got old after that, but getting shitfaced and playing video games with guys I hadn't talked to in years was good. Anyway, good video. I think there's also nothing wrong with explaining that gravity is a force that is ALWAYS and ONLY directly towards the center of the earth, so when it's perpendicular to the line between your barrel and the target, it's getting maximum effect on pulling the bullet away from your point of aim. But when you're aiming directly in line with gravity, perfectly downward, it actually does nothing at all to pull your bullet away from the line between your barrel and the target, and having any elevation will simply lob the bullet towards the top of the scope with gravity doing nothing to counteract that. Same thing when you aim sideways under a barricade. That elevation is now just windage, and lobbing the bullet left or right with no gravity to pull it back to the centerline.

My Drill Sgt used to say the only way to get good at push-ups is to do push-ups. Keep a log. Do as many as you can with perfect form most days. Try to add a few more every week or so. Only perfect push-ups count so don’t sacrifice form to get higher reps.

if you pass the line through the eye twice....keeping the second pass below the first pass...it will allow you to pull the slack out of the line and then keep its position without coming loose. Makes it way easier to tie off as you do not have to maintain the tension on the line. Its like it locks in place. Give it a try.... ;)

What my drill instructor said was if you want to get better at push ups, do push ups. I would start by pushing against the wall and gradually increasing the angle to pushing against a bench and eventually against the ground. For now you’re just trying to build up the muscles and you have time to reach your goal. Feel free to reach out if you have more questions.

I’m good up to 300m and I know I need a heavier more powerful bullet for over 700m. BUT... it is what it is, sooo. With just a 5.56mm at 700m oh, it’s a Beriska scope. No mil Dots or Moa dots.
