ACE & Amtrak Trains in San Jose California // Late December 2021

- -- This was my first time seeing the Altamont Corridor Express & Amtrak Capitol Corridor Trains in person, and it was not a let down. Most of the rollby's in this video were in the range from 65mph to 73mph+ with one of the Amtrak Capitol Corridor trains moving at 80mph.
-- Other interesting features of these lines were the abundance of some older rail joints, and an unexpected abundance of F59PHI's and F40PH's as I had believed that both lines already had mostly Siemens SC44's operating.

5:03 That coast starlight p42 has a really nice horn and I like that the engineer never used the quill
2:24 Nice K5LA
2:57 *NiCe K5lA*
3:49 and 4:00 sound the exact same!
At 2:41 when was that coast starlight filmed and what direction was it headed to?
Down South to L.A, This train in particular was very late, so my brother and I had the chance to catch it in the middle of the day.
@@JointedRail2024 huh weird since i took it on the 22nd northbound and it had the same engines in the same exact order northbound
Hey what camera do you use
he uses an Canon 80D he told me one time
Too bad you didnt catch the famous 8306 with its new cast P5
NO way, really??
@@JointedRail2024 yup, an engineer put it up there in 2000, and it hasn’t been removed. It’s one of the cleanest P5’s out there too. There are a good amount of videos of it on TH-cam
It usually runs on the San Joaquin so if you plan on catching it, head down the central valley, its in the middle of nowhere where trains go 79 but its worth it
Intros pls
we dont care about intros we care about trains
