Hi mate! Great video! I am about to buy my first kite and I’m in among Neo classic 23 or Neo SLS 22, both same price, both with discount. Do you have an opinion for me? Thanks!
I am 80KG riding a north 26 liter surfboard. I own a 8 CARVE I can use from 17+. I owned a 10 CARVE but ripped it in half. Should I get a 9NEO or 10NEO? On one hand, everyone says size down on the NEO, which leads me to 10 CARVE to 9 NEO. Also, the old: “I don’t even surf with kites bigger than 9s”. But is the overlap between a 9 NEO and 8 CARVE too great? Will it be too much repetition in my quiver? 7s are not an option as in Puerto Rico it never gets that windy. I hear a lot about the low end grunt on a neo. Does anyone know the low end/high end differences between a neo and carve? What is the low of a NEO 9 vs a NEO 10 on a surfboard? Wind range typically for us is 13-26KNTS Thanks so much 🙏🏻
@MACkiteboarding Very good and interesting video as usual. Great work, keep going. I know it could be difficult for you but could you review Aluula vs SLS kite.
Assuming cost is not an issue, do you think the SLS would be too responsive for a newer kiter versus regular construction kite? I’m looking at getting the Evo SLS
It’s personal preference for sure. The benefits would be fun but you probably wouldn’t appreciate them for a year or two. I do think slower kites are more forgiving. Use a click bar on the smaller setting and you can slow things down. If budget is not a consideration, the sls would be a great choice. - Rygo
Thanks a lot for the honest review. btw, did you change now to the Clickbar? I remeber one of you previous videos, where you still preferred the Trustbar...
What line length do you use? Do you always use the same line length? Different length lines for different size kites? I have a 2019 10m Neo. It's definitely more responsive and fun with 20 or 22m lines. I am thinking of getting the NEO SLS in a 12m. 22 or 24m might be best for that size?
Thank you for asking, Kyra. 🤙🏽 Just had a great session two days ago on my Neo SLS 8m, and I will be grabbing a Neo SLS 6m as soon as they’re available. While the smaller sizes are very reactive kites, they are also very controlled when using a small Duotone bar. Adjust your steering input, as you would with any small kite, and you’ll be all smiles. -Aaron
I should have a few videos comparing the two. Yes, loads of time on the Dice. Great wave kite. The technique is different. You have to work it and it doesn’t really drift. The Neo is better for onshore but the Dice works great in cross and cross offshore waves. You’ll have lots of fun with it. 🤟🏻 - Rygo
@@MACkiteboarding Thank you for your response Rygo. I love Duotone, however the dealer in OBX makes it damn near impossible to get a demo. We lovingly call em Dicks & Dicks.
Thanks! I was waiting for this review
Great honest review, thanks Rygo
Cheers Michael! - Rygo

Neo Aluula VS the Neo review, is it coming soon?

Please review the Ocean Rodeo Roam Aluula series. Thanks!
I just tested the flight. I’ve a roam with me and ready to go for a test as well. 🤟🏻 - Rygo

I actually just filmed that! I’ll be doing a progression of videos as I test. It would take months to do a proper take in one video. - Rygo
@@MACkiteboardingwow you're reading my mind 😅
Great, I'll watch it for sure.
Thanks for the awesome content.
Great little vs review. Thank you.

@@MACkiteboarding Curious as to what you mean by “use the Clickbar on the smallest setting”.
Hi Rygo! Thanks! Great review! How about the EVO SLS vs the NEO SLS? for foiling, for a board. Thanks again
I’d take the NEO SLS foiling over the Evo SLS for sure. Surf kites are the best on a foil in my opinion. 🤙🏻 - Rygo
Is the SLS kite flying better than the classic Neo in 3-5 knts less wind and provide the same power? Did the wind range change?
Thanks a lot for the honest review. btw, did you change now to the Clickbar? I remeber one of you previous videos, where you still preferred the Trustbar...
I’m doing a comparison of the clickbar and the ocean rodeo stick shift. Had to get some click bar shots. 🙌🏻 - Rygo
Hi team any thoughts on the new rebel please

Any ideas on the Neo 6m sls.. is it any good? Or like a gnat in the air 😝

Hi!
Do you think the Sls being lighter, might give you a wider wind range?
I mean, could you use the 10 mts as a 12 mts in lighter winds?
Thanks!
I don’t think it does much for the wind range. I suppose you could work the kite with less effort haha! - Rygo
Do you have much experience with the Dice? I just picked up a 2020 8m dice and I'm hoping to use this as my surf/wave kite as well. Any thoughts?

its kinda confusing they sell both Neo and SLS Neo at the same time...
Yeah a bit huh? It’s similar to their pro and non pro boards. Duotone seems to always offer an upgrade version.
SLS sounds more like a 'marketing' push!
It for sure is. The old Neo is great. The SLS did feel lighter and had more response. For sure worth a demo if you have the chance. - Rygo
