Uta Thyra Hagen was a German American drama teacher and actress, who originated the role of Martha in the 1962 Broadway production of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? by Edward Albee.
A role which later won Elizabeth Taylor an Oscar for its screen adaptation.
