This was really interesting and so useful to know! I just have no use for an eyeliner that smudges. I’ve tried the VB liners - and I think that they are lovely but just impractical for me. I tend to use the Make and Chanel eyeliners. Make has some lovely and unique colors and Chanel is just totally reliable. Thanks for another terrific video!
I have lots of VB. I haven’t been using it as much lately b/c I realized it runs at the corner of my eyes. I have been using the Sisley and Hourglass lately. I must say I want to try the Dior and Chanel. Thanks for the review. I think LE needs to go back to the drawing board.
This is why i love to watch (back) your video's Jennifer, you know so much about the products, all the comparisons, and the crystal clear conclusion: thank you very much!!!!!!🤩🤩😘😘🤩🤩😘😘
I wanted to try the Antique Gold & the dark green. I like liner that comes off easily enough that I don’t have to rub my eye area to get it off. I tried a Dior kohl liner recently and really like that formula.
I totally agree with you. I have all the colors and they smudge. I thought it was just that I did not know what I was doing. I most likely will not be using them. Thank you for the review. :)
I saw a wear test on these, from a small channel, but she's chic. She did a wear test on that Lisa Eldridge Cinder Smoke. And she wore it the way you applied it. She ended the day with unsightly smudges. And she said she'd been cleaning up smudges all day. So it never really sets down. These were originally $22 on Selfridges. But after that, I passed. I really wanted the green and the gold. But I'll get Chanel or Dior. Thanks for the video!💚
Thank you for all the comparisons! I have the burnished gold shade and find it similar to VB smoky quartz - both in shade and performance. I do use shadow primer ('cause nothing stays on my lids( and find that helps).
I need to add Sisley to the list of no-budgers! I bought a few of the LE on a whim when the LE blue green palette was finally back in stock. That’s a bummer they are so smudgey.
I have most of the VB, so don’t think I need the LE. Funny enough, I like the VB for my waterline as they are the only ones I’ve tried that seem to glide on and stick…eventually. I do have some lower line transfer at first swipe, but I just wipe that away and then they set down after that. Except the Fig color, can’t get a smooth coverage with that one to save my life! 🤷♀️
Thank you for the review. Very informative. I got a deep brown one (ground coffee), and I absolutely love it. I have not tried other brands that you mentioned so I cannot compare but you said that Lisa's glides most smoothly and that is the MOST important criterion for me. I hate tugging. With Lisa's I barely touch my eyelids, and the color is there. After few minutes - 5-10 it doesn't smudge on me. Having said that I always use a primer and a bit of powder, and I don't have oily lids, and my eyes are just beginning to be a bit hooded (due to getting older). The one time I didn't use primer and powder there was a bit of imprint on my upper eyelid. But still for me zero tugging super gliding factor cannot be beaten, and I am about to order another one (that's why I was watching your review - to see colours).
My fav color of liner of all time (not only) is the Stila waterproof liner in the color Lionfish. It’s like a penny bronzer with a hint of gold. It’s so pretty and I love it. No smudging, comes off easy and wears great. I am curious to see these. I can’t wear black. Also waterline. Lately after I hit 62 , my eyes can’t handle any of them sadly
Jen , Seriously interesting 🤔..wow . depending what you want ..I prefer something that doesn't budge yet comes off . Yet when I use eye make up remover. Don't want to scrub my eyes ...?
I think the Victoria Beckham pencils in both the shades I have go on easily and look beautiful, but they do smudge long after they should've set. Fascinating to see this pencil experiment.
Call me old school but urban decay pencils work really well. Chanel are ok but drag too much and dry out quickly. VB I have to smudge and then set with shadow or powder.
The VB smudge & transfer terribly on me so I definitely won't be trying these. I once wore the dark blue VB liner & ended up with blue streaks bleeding down my face! My favourites are CT & Nyx eyeshadow crayons which I use as liners. Even though they're a thick pencil they have some soft shades & they don't budge.
Just a pass for me, I would have a real mess . The only area not yet dry is my eye lid. So personally I am careful about eye liners . It .ay take some working with. It's just me eyes and bc if that transfers on you .not going to work.
This will be a mess for my hooded lids. I am too old for the goth/smudged eye look. Thank you for saving me a lot of money and frustration.

Thank you for taking the time to do a comparison. Very impressed with the dior..

I have all shades and none of them smudged on me. They were bulletproof.
@@amber2905 Thanks.

Thanks- I was thinking of buying that one burnished gold… but I have the VB Smoky Quartz so for now, will hold off..

I was warned, but I ordered Renaissance Gold and Night Forest anyway. I wear smudgy liner, so I’ll figure it out.
I’m so glad I watched this video bc I was about to buy 2 of these. TY! I do love the colors though. Maybe she can reformulate them 🙏

Awesome review. I'm not in the market for liners as I think I've got enough that I could be a beauty TH-camr. Great to know more about these.
Happy Tuesday Everyone And Good Luck For Palette
Very helpful smudging experiment, thank you.

Thank you for the comparisons. Eyeliners are my weakness. I have the best luck with Guerlain, Chanel and Chantecaiile. I'm going to check out Dior!
Great comparisons, thank you so much for the video. ❤

Thank you for doing this ❤

You just saved me $60. I have oily lids, so there's no way the LE would last on mine. ❤

Thank you for the review and the comparisons. I’m gonna skip these. I love my Chanel liners and they don’t smug so I’m good.
