Ok cool! I learned something tonight. I have a few 1935 silver certificates and a red note dollar bill. I don't know that much about them but when I had to he chance to get them I did. Lol. Merry Christmas! 💖💯🎄
@Rob I have fallen in love with searching ones, searching 2 to 3 thousand a week, but boy have finds fallen off last month. Lots of people looking. Thanks for the vid. I gotta restart by ebay store and list about 2,000 ones....ugh
I don't care what my neighbor says, but dollar bills hunts are fun. And, no, I am not going to trim my crepe myrtles - they look good when they get tall, I don't care what he says. Or his wife. Everyone else trims everything around their house, and I like the "natural look". Plus, it costs money to trim bushes, and I am cheap. Well, maybe frugal is a better word. Okay - back to the hunt. Dollar bills are like dimes - sometimes you get something good, but most of the time you are asking yourself "why did I spent an hour doing this"? But, if you don't hunt 'em, you can't find 'em. And if you found something cool every time, then everyone else would be hunting bills, and then you wouldn't find anything. So, when I hunt bills, I don't complain about my lack of finds, I just look outside and admire my overgrown bushes and trees. (Disclaimer: I might have consumed an adult beverage before writing this comment). Either way - another great video!
Selective hand pruning is good until something gets scraggly, way overgrown and out of control. Then it's time to shape with electric trimmers. What's the topic again 😆
Another great bill hunt. I been hunting every day and been skunked about 41 times since October of last year. The highest of $500 dollars used in the hunts. Now I take a hundred and hunt bigger bills like 5 and 10 now. At least you found some star notes that are common but in the next print run there will be no more Star notes. It may be the end of this year. 2021 star notes will be the last year for them.
Had a tough hunt today as well. My box of half dollars was all 2023 D's. 20 straps and only 13 stars, all common. I did find a Barr note though but, even that had a little tear on top.
I have never searched paper money. However, I did buy a box of nickels at a local Wells Fargo branch this afternoon and found I now have 50 unopened rolls of 2024-P nickels!!
When did people start collecting trinarys? That sounds like ebay foolishness, almost as bad as them asking a premium for "low" serial numbers that only have 2 zeros 😂
Hey Rob, what do you do with all the star notes you find? And also I find a lot of NIFCs when I get boxes of half dollars. What do you do when you find 2002 to 2020 half dollars?
@jaymartell2967 No, it is best to have an account at the main branch of the largest bank in the city and just ask. Main branch receive and distribute to smaller branches. They generally can also order directly from the Federal Reserve. Order new bills if you want them in sequence. Apparently some people sell sequential bills for profit ...
Hey rob or anyone in the comments I just started collecting and my local grocery store has been my place to get coins and in the last two trips of me going there I got 30 rolls of unc 2024 penny’s not opened what should I do

In 1972-74 I had paper route, would keep the star notes I got. Coin shop would give me $1.05 for every one I had.

@ Both for sure
I received a $50 series 1969A. The bill is in great condition no tears, pen marks or wrinkles.

@@jaymartell2967 Exactly - I am not a savage. There is necessary trimming - but you don't need to do it every week...

I have never searched paper money. However, I did buy a box of nickels at a local Wells Fargo branch this afternoon and found I now have 50 unopened rolls of 2024-P nickels!!
Totally jealous!! Hate that I stopped collecting * notes then selling all of mine off.
Bills aren't my thing, but I found 2 star notes and a 1995 in a strap a few days ago. Keeping them for fun!
2:14 would be a radar and a cool looking trinary.
Strap hunt, happy holidays
I also search for collectable bills. I was wondering if you ever find Where's George bills during your hunts and if you enter them into the web site?
Radar is a much shorter word than palindrome, I guess…
What do you have against tall word's‽
NS shirlock
@jaymartell2967 play nice
