Well, I would say in this case yes, but the children in Canada and the U.S. killing other kids and adults with guns and knifes, definitely not innocent. Or maybe up to a certain age. Are teens considered children? So up to age 10, after 10 if they try to harm other people than no, we can not say they are innocent anymore. They should be trialed as adults just as anyone else if they decide to do something wrong. Below 10, we will blame the parents. Actually no, that would create some really evil kids. "educational setting" eh... If that were the case, the hundreds of millions of students would be raving lunatic murderers by now lol (history is history, no matter how brutal it is, it will always be a fact.

Anyways, what he means is maybe the victim is influenced/taught by his family, could be or most likely former ww2 atrocities victims, which isn't uncommon, many grandparents from those time manage to live till today.
Many families' grandparents that experienced ww2 atrocities are alive today, while many let it pass and keep quiet about it, there are some who will pass on their experience to their children or grand children, and some of those listeners might have a hero mentality, revenge killings.

Example, school shootings in the US, is it taught? or is it because those shooters feel that they are the victims that can't get real justice hence the vent like revenge killings?
It also doesn't help that Japan has been wishy washy about giving closure to their victims, not just china, but phillipines, korea etc, the saddest one being those comfort women camp victims, even their own countrymen, especially the younger generation, told them to shut up.

Takes 2 to Tango, problem is collateral damage, when hate/revenge cannot find a proper target, collateral damage ensues.
Hence the bible saying: "violence begets violence or hate begets hate".

"Similar cases can happen in any country." - Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson, Lin Jian. Wow, how irresponsible and extremely insensitive to say this in the same breath when offering condolences to the family. Might I remind you that this was an innocent 10 year old boy murdered by a 44 year old adult with a fully formed pre-frontal cortex. This man stabbed a child to death meaning he would have had to watch a child die in front of his eyes. This was not a drone strike or a projectile. This man would have had to operate from viewing this child as not human to do that. The level of pre-programming of hatred and propaganda to do that to a 10 year old boy does not happen in just "any country." I cannot imagine any 10 year old bearing the hatred of an adult who believed their death was necessary for some kind of justice they imagined. Senseless. Robbed of life at such a young age. All potential lost. All possibilities closed forever. May the family members of this young boy find strength during this time--and peace and ease in this lifetime.

This isn't one sided! The Japanese are extremely insincere about their "apologies". Many recent politicians questioned the atrocities and outright denied them. The average Japanese is
not empathetic at all in this regard. Many Japanese just view themselves as the victims deserving of pity and love whilst completely ignoring the things they did. All of that is basically free seeds for hatred the Chinese government can use to plant said hatred. And the Japanese are cooperating in the best possible way to keep the hatred going. China is actually relatively safe, obviously not as much as Switzerland or Austria but still really well for a country with over a billion people. Foreign visitors are treated well, and it is contrast of what most people think.

If you go to Western/Japanese media, you will find a lot of anti-China propaganda.
According to Pew Center, 30% of Chinese have a favorable impression of Japan. Only 10% of Japanese have a favorable impression of China. In other words, the Japanese media propaganda is more terrible.
Also, the South China Morning Post will not report news about Chinese people being killed in Japan.

i wonder how can someone hate an innocent child? my mom is japanese and my dad is british. i was born and raised in the UK, i was used to being bullied when i was a child. i get this bullying mostly from teenagers and adults. and the reason they bullied me was because i was half japanese. what a sad act, i hope this doesn't happen to anyone again.
