    I just purchased a 2023 Prius and was also interested in the BZ4X. When I found out the range of the BZ4X I was no longer interested . One day I'll have an electric car, but it's not right now. BTW, I've owned almost every brand you can imagine but my Toyotas were the most reliable and care free other than routine maintenance, tires, batteries etc.

    I have had a bz4x for just about a year. Honestly I think it is a pretty great car. The range was a bit of an issue when I took a road trip. Lets be real, all evs are suffering this issue at the moment. It is a great commuter car. I have solar on my house so I charge for free. My only other complaint is the car seems to have trouble connecting to my samsung phone.

    This a a very good Bev, nothing wrong with. 450km real range as tested in the Netherlands, 10 years warranty on batteries, efficient ev motor, and affordable... . 4x fast charging in 24h. And always above 100kw charging, tested in the Netherlands. This car has won comparison test with the Vw Id4, the Solterra won a comparison test with the Audi q4.... .

      @@avdp9095 If Toyota gave it a range of 30 miles it would even more wear on the battery! The reality is you're basically carrying an extra 5-8KWH of battery that serve no purpose other than to guarantee 90% life at 10 years. Per Toyota they have a breakthrough SS battery that will have double the density and 4x the charging speed coming in 2026 - why would anybody want to keep their 2023 battery in pristine condition to have it be as useful as 1/10th of a battery in 2033? Carrying around the extra weight only causes more tire wear and makes the vehicle less efficient. Only mission critical systems in remote locations like submersibles and space faring craft need that kind of redundancy - not a daily driver.

    There are some other issues with the bz4x suspension system too, which are not immediately apparent. If you run into a curb, this thing is gonna get messed up badly. I once run my bz4x by a fairly low curb, driving 27 mph, and that knocked the steering column off center. They had to re-alight three wheels, for only one of them touching the curb. I mean seriously! The charging issue is a real problem. It pulls much lower power than any car I happen to park next, and it limits the charging to two times a day, which ruined my first long trip, and made me hate this freaking car.

    You may have forgotten to mention, Toyota recommends no towing behind this vehicle. Sure alloy wheels covered by plastic wheel covers. Youre 5'8"? Gain anothe inch and you cannot see the instrument cluster do to horrific steering wheel placement. Going on a road trip? Sure if you want to add an additional 5 to 6 hours of dc fast charging onto a 10 hr road trip due to the horrific range and slow charging. Hvac...dont even get me started. A 50 mile drop in range from the lowest hvac settings?? Thats unheard of and is NOT common to evs. My I-5 loses about 4 miles of rang with 3/4 fan speed with AC or heat. No glove box. No frunk. Piano black center stack and only 200 hp. For 50k. Absolute insanity.

    No frunk, poor range, glare from glossy dashboard/console, slow charging. This compliance car literally fails every measure for choosing an EV. Toyota created an absolute lemon that will not sell well as it has no redeeming features.

  • @im4udevco
    @im4udevco ปีที่แล้ว +4

    For a Juggernaut like Toyota, they blew their first chance in the EV bandwagon. The range sucks and when you add winter and battery degradation, you'll get half the advertised range. Efficiency, charging (L2&L3) sucks, piano black all over sucks, the instrument cluster doesn't move when you adjust the steering wheel sucks, I can go on with a litany of other gripes and they all suck really badly. This vehicle was an afterthought and let's see what happens with their next one. You can get a Model 3 cheaper on the lower range and a Model Y on the higher end. Maybe for a $1, I'll think about getting one.

    This is a toy car. I am very sad to buy this car because its only problem is charging. First of all it takes long time to charge if 50% charged with level 3 it will take 2 hours 30 minutes. Then you have to keep the car at full stop which you have to suffer in extreme cold, heat. After that if you start the car and turn on the heat and AC then you can run the car for one hundred miles. So don't waste your 5:35 and money buying this car. thank you😅😂😢😅
