The repetitive nature of even the most mundane and simple tasks instills discipline. I can still recall the fear and overwhelming intimidation that was so present in the air you could taste it. But there was never time to dwell on this. Your drill instructors are among a very elite group not just in the Corps but in your lives. They teach you everything you need to know to be larger than life to be great. The rest is up to you. Hats off to you wonderful men and women who tirelessly work and strive to bring out the best qualities we never knew we had.

I'm in the Army, and I'm not going to lie - watching these videos seriously motivates me. I was in a unit (duty station) that sucked all the morale out of people instantly. Watching these videos pumps me back up! I'm all good to go now! I really hope this isn't the very last video for this series, it's just too awesome to see go!

Nope. I had to tell the recruiter about my Aspergers diagnosis.
yea i got disqualified at boot cause marine corps doesnt issue epipens for allergies.. but ill be sure to set the example during coast guard boot camp.. oorah semper fi marines.

@@zach8969 communication is key. You have to be honest in all types of disabilities, diagnosis you got to accomadate the individual, or to prevent anyone from wasting time.
They use plastic garbage cans now? They use to wake us up by slinging a metal trashcan down the middle of the squad bay in '85.
And turning over racks while you still in it.lol 1966
They were still doing that when I went in the Army in 2003. Though it was at 30th AG before we started basic training at Fort Benning, they still used metal trash cans as it bashed and roll through the rooms right after the lights went on.
Our trash can got speared by the guidon thrown by our kill hat, guess we were trash that day

Ever watch tv? Straight body off deck ,nothing touching except toes and elbows, chin in hands while looking Straight ahead. And do not be the first to drop that position.

God damn memories. Boot camp was an experience and I seriously can write a book on my 45 days on Paris island. The other recruits going through the same thing u we're just made u stronger than u thought u were. Except when when they suddenly made me guild and fucked it all up from the temp barracks to the mess hall . They said I was sent from Al Qaeda to fuck up marine corps drill and discipline ... Them memories lol!

By about half way through boot camp you start to realize hmm why are all the other platoons doing the same exact thing at the same time, we all get our lockers dumped on the same days we all get the same stupid crap going on the same days then your realize this a quite a bit more layed out and planned minutes by minutes than I realized and if your smart you can sometimes use that to your advantage a little because drill instructors are on a crazy tight schedule
