Got a Zulus on my .22LR. LRF, ballistic calculator, adequate onboard IR for rimfire and light as a feather. Can carry it all day/night. For foxing I use a thermal scope on my centre fire. No clunky IR torch.
Bought an alpex last week and had my first fox with that scope last night, zerod at 100m (243) shot fox at 230m using the holdover point. Fantastic. It is heavy to what im used to and does pixelate a bit at higher zoom (but more intense laser ir improves that.) Im well pleased, wide field of view and cracking image at lower mags, a bit if pixelation when zooming but that doesn't matter, the point is to bring up the target large and bright enough to put the crosshare on the right spot. The result then...... success. Has great audio recording too compared to my old pard 007 where every gun sounded like a dull clunk. I think the alpex is the better scope if buying to use on multiple guns as you can mount it in a one piece qd mount like the sportsmatch hop92 then reliably move it around without tools etc. If i had the means though id have the arken too for as i think both would be brilliant. In time...... Also about the weight, you quickly get used to it, carrying thr rifle with a sling, it makes no difference and when shooting off a tripod id say the extra weight is beneficial in holding things steady.
When will the 2 new Arken's be available ?. Liking the sound of the multi spectrum one, and I believe it's going to be very competitively priced too, is that right ?.
Regarding the Zulus, 5x base magnification may be too much for typical hunting distances under 100yd that you may find at hunting facilities that have feeders set up. Also typical in the woods hunting will present shots under 100 yards. 5x will limit your field of view.
The Alpex is a quality bit of kit! The 4K sensor and the LRF are great. As for the Zulus, smaller glass less light! Every video I've seen is much worse at night on the Zulus over the Alpex 4K
Hi James, can you clarify how to use the zero profiles on the alpex please. Mines on a 243, zerod at 100 with 76gr for fox. I'd like to make a profile for a deer load say 100gr Id like in time to make profiles for my 223 and 22lr etc Do I use letters a-e for rifles and numbers for loads within or just use a letter for each profile, hik says how to change it but don't advise to use letters or numbers for each rifle or Ammunition type etc Thanks For example would you put A-243 fox B-243 deer C-223 D-22lr Or A1 -243 fox A2-243 deer B-223 C-22lr I'm now guessing maybe the latter as this could allow different ammunition for each rifle up to 5? Is this correct I don't want to get it wrong and end up sending bullets off in all directions. 😂
Hi there, We have a video in the pipeline running through various different features of the Alpex coming out soon, one of which will be showing you how to use different profiles, but yes A-E represents different rifles , then the number represent different zeroing distances for that rifle.
@@OpticsWarehouse1 ideal, thanks, I'll keep an eye out for the video too, but think it should be fairly straightforward, just a case then of noting down on the gun cabinet door what numbers are for what.
@@crazycressy7986 i said exactly the same dual recoil this is why i would not stick my zulus on my 97k but they said it was fine, i still don't trust it and have left the arken on my hw100 bp for ratting and rabbits at night and got a hawk airmax ffp for my 97k for day time
So I think you breezed over the Arken only storing 1 ballistic profile in the scope at a time and requires sending different tables to it by using smart phone. So I think less suitable for using different ammo with one rifle or moving between rifles. On the flip side, it’s almost half the cost of the Alpex, so one could almost justify purchasing a second Zulus for 2nd rifle…almost. Surely Arken would want to improve this by allowing multiple ballistic tables to be stored in the scope itself!?
Hi there, we are planning on publishing a video soon explaining how the tables work and how you will be able to add multiple tables to the app but unfortunately, you can't add more than one table in the scope at present.
Hi there, all items on the website are subject to postage. This is more to cover the insurance on parcels should an item get lost and with a £900 thermal, it would go on a DPD next day insured service
arken is much clearer the distortion on the alpex is really bad with zoom noticed it at the shooting show plus i just watched a video with the guy zooming in around 50m it looked awful could hardly tell what it was he was looking at and the only 4k video on youtube showing it off zoomed in on a deer and it looked like a picasso painting 🤣

Please show the Arken Zulus LRF with the on board illimitation along side a after market unit.

Hi there, we are looking to start receiving the 3-12 zulus towards the end of April. The multispectral unit has no date yet unfortunately.

Cheetah lrf comes with the Ballistics calculator now ? They said it at the shooting show earlier last month.
Hi there, yes there will be an update released soon which will add a BC to the Cheetah range

Hi James have you had any news on the pard ds37 yet?
Hi there, no news as of yet. All we have seen is what was released at shot show
Is the zulus springer proof ?
Apparently yes I got someone to ask arken for me as they was going to see them said they have been on a 50 cal
@WeihrauchShooter springers have a double recoil and can reck scopes faster than big cal rifles so need to know before parting with £600
@@WeihrauchShooter I see you detect and like HWs ,same here lol

Yes
Give it six months and Element optics will have bought Arken and trebled all the prices;)

Just been on your website going to buy a thermal.... £900 and then it says £7.50 delivery 😩 put me off buying it from you's

It doesn’t record in 4k no scope does it’s 1080p only
