Hey Scott, just thinking about the issue with the 'eye balls' not working. Could you not install those on the inside of the firewall? Should be clear span that way? Or would they still push the steering rods over too much causing interference? Love your plane man, beautiful workmanship. Congrats

Thats too bad that the Skytek unit had the clearance issues. I had purchased one to use as it seems so much better than the original Zenith design. I enjoyed the walk around also

Hi Scott - I went to the SkyTek site and on the web page that has the install instructions, there are a number of "happy" customers. One of them describes an issue that seems very similar to what you are describing, and they said they had the plates installed upside down or backwards or something, and once they corrected this the binding went away. Please review - perhaps it helps you? I have read about tendency of the Jab to leak exhaust at the non-gasketed muffler attach points and a good seal for the pushrods seems like a very good thing to have. What do you think?

@@generalcanby5847 tried all set ups, unfortunately some seem to accept near enough is good enough including less than two threads etc. I would be very interested to rig check a flying Cruzer. I’m thinking a boot like on a car gear shifter to cover the holes.

@@scottmatthews5280 OK, understand Scott. You are very thorough and I am not surprised that you have thoroughly explored options. I am sure you will come up with something elegant and clever as you have a natural talent for this. I agree with you - I have replaced a few stock bolts or gone with thinner washers a times to improve uncomfortably marginal threads beyond the nut. Definitely have a belt and suspenders approach to my Cruzer. I am on year 5 of my build and my pace has improved since subscribing and following your tips and experiences.
