- I decided to jump the shark and use 15W-40 in the Harley. I also had to change the battery AGAIN because it's lasting barely 2 years. (3rd battery change, not including the first one changed under warranty after 3 months)
I do it so you don't have to.. or so you'll see me mess it up so you can do it better.

This is good info for me That's what threw me off. I didn't know you changed the tank. I couldn't figure out what. sportser that was. I have a 2018 iron. I think they're the same bike. My problem has been I lost my garage and my bike has been outside. I got a decent cover now. but all my issues have come from its setting outside. It drives me crazy.
Hope you get through it... 🤞 ✌️
Yeah, that 3 gallon tank was killing me. The 20 liter tank is awesome. It's the same bike. What questions you got?
Didn't you change something awhile back to help eliminate parasitic current draw or something? What's a typical life time for a battery?
@@KeithHuntsman-TaFl i did, and the battery should last, but it doesn't. It's underrated for the motor it's on, I think
I'm no expert, but I wonder if you have an intermittent short somewhere, associated with something that's used alot, like a switch or relay. Or possibly a bad regulator? Angel had this when her battery went bad. She did a video on it, and diagnosed it to a faulty regulator. Or it's circuit isolation time and separately pull fuses.
I had something similar on my car. I happened to see the inside lights flicker on and off on their own.
I didn't fix it yet, but after looking at the wiring diagram, the circuit is also connected to the door lock relay, which is used alot. Just a guess.
You should wrap the wires, or find a way to keep them from moving so much. Zip ties work, but do not add so many that it is almost impossible to take apart... hehe
@@PaulsMotoZen I'm planning on shortening them after I make the last mods. I've been getting a lot of mods given to me to make videos with, so I'm leaving lots of wire
