As somebody who got the Logitech combo touch, I can fully recommend it. It's sturdy, functional and the variable angles work like a charm. People who have used the surface tablets will feel at home here.
Thank god I stumbled onto this comment. I’m literally going from a Surface Pro 6 to a 12” IPad Pro (M1). I’m planning to get it either today or tomorrow with the Logitech combo touch and Apple Pencil in the coming days.
@@sierrap6478 only tip I'd give you is to apply the pressure evenly on the kickstand, so on both sides or in the middle as the hinge is quite stiff and the metal inside the stand pretty thin. the backplate in general is made of metal so you can bend it, so keep that in mind. also since i fidget a lot ive stretched the thin silicone piece between the screen and the speakers and they are a bit loose now lol. otherwise have fun with it.
Can second this. The Logitech combo touch is awesome. The other accessory that's amazing for professional photographers who want to back up and edit in the field is the Acasis 10 in 1 hub. That thing can take up to an 8tb ssd. I'm a 1DX II and R3 shooter and can backup my Cfast 2.0 and CF Express B cards as fast as I could want. Then delete the card and keep shooting. Indispensable when you're away from home from days at a time and don't want bucketloads of expensive cards with you.
I daily a iPad mini 5 and it’s perfect for my needs. Been having it since launch in 2019 and I use it for browsing/research, entertainment, notes, and reading. The iPad makes a great companion device for in between things. Things you don’t want to use your phone for but don’t necessarily need a laptop to do. It’s great and it’s always with me, either at work, home or vacation it’s my favorite product Apple makes.
I'm watching this right now while using universal control on my iPad. I used to think I'd NEVER touch apple but I cannot deny the strides they've made with the ecosystem.
Glad you’re enjoying it! I used to be a PC & Android guy, but I’m all Apple now. Everything is just too seamless and perfect with their software and products.
@@freshchoice5177 universal control made it even better IMO. I just wish apple would make an aspect ratio rescaler for displays since most are 16:9. Having those black bars and having to pay for a program to do that is slightly annoying.
Most of these type of videos are mostly a disguised as useful tips & tricks that end up just being pointless entertainment. This video actually gave me a couple ideas & inspiration to make the most of my ipad without feeling overwhelmed with apps that are “so useful”. Props to you!
iPad Air 4 as my laptop replacement. I use the hybrid factor of the iPad a lot, one moment I need a laptop, the next I’ll need a drawing tablet. I’m a gamer and I actually don’t like the Arcade games, but I have a gaming desktop which I can just remote into with my iPad so I can still game from the iPad, even if it’s not natively on my iPad. I also have a Mini 6, for some handheld games and on the go stuff. Side by side they are perfect companions.
I’m so happy to have invested in an iPad Pro 12.9’ screen. The Logitech combo really complements it. That whole device blends very well with the MacBook. I just can’t go wrong with those two.
this video is always awesome and very great transitions and really professional and informative and straight forward when they explaining the things in their audience and giving them important information and reviewing the item which is really satisfying to see this hardwork
I keep everything in a folder, except Kindle. Procreate, Safari, Settings, and Photos live in my dock. I wanted only one screen, no horizontal scrolling. This alone keeps me focused and aware of what I’m doing instead of seeing icons I don’t use everyday tempting me to open it up and play
I got the Pro, primarily because of the screen size and knowing it can handle more than I can throw at it. I did so with the idea of not buying a laptop anytime soon. I've got an M1 Mac Mini for home use, which is most of what I need. So, when I want to meet someone about a freelance project or just hang and do some writing in a lunch place, I know the Pro will be more than enough. If I discover or am told better use cases, great.
Pro tip, get a renewed Magic Keyboard if you are looking at them. Saved myself over $150 doing so. Toss on a spigen pencil holder and you can switch between the Smart Folio and magic keyboard very easily and your pencil is always secure
I have an iPad 9 because I want to test my developed mobile apps on a bigger screen but right now I’m using it more than I expected. I’m a software engineer
I'm no fan of Apple's walled garden, but the Ipad pro (for me) is a game changer. I'll probably get an iPhone again (been almost a decade) but not sure I'll ever get an apple computer. While I know the negatives, I do not know the benefits. Guess I should investigate it. Thank you for the video.
Thank you for your review also about the cases. I want to buy another iPad as I am back to traveling again. So thanks also about the keyboards as sometimes I wanna make music and not always wanna take my ukulele with me.
Getting gamepass setup takes some tweaking, changing dns, turning off airdrop/handoff and location services etc. Usb-c to ethernet is also a plus. Admittedly its not the most user friendly service atm on apple devices, but once you take care of those things its a good experience overall imo. Using a 12.9 ipad pro 4th gen.
Steam link works great for gaming, but it is not cloud based, you need a pc running in your network. I use it to play anywhere around the house and doesn’t have input lag. And also supports PlayStation gamepads
Hey, I connected my iPad to the external monitor… but how do I change my refresh rate? It’s stuck at 60hz, when my monitor can go up to 165hz. Anything you can help me with?
I am a beginner. I would have loved to work this video but it was just too fast for me and too many movements I just didn’t know how to use. Perhaps you can slow it down and make some videos for newbies
Thanks for this! I have the 12.9 M1 iPad Pro and recently purchased a Synology NAS. You mentioned that you use your NAS with your iPad, so I’m wondering if you have experienced or know how to resolve an issue I’m having. I use my iPad for digital art and design and have a few TBs of design files that I recently moved to the NAS to free up space on the iPad. But now spotlight on ipad doesn’t work for the networked NAS folder and I can’t find anything. I’ve indexed the NAS a few times and verified that search works from the Synology site/ app, but iPad refuses to locate anything. This essentially makes my NAS useless because I now I have a million files with no way to find anything. Being able to search them through the Synology site doesn’t help because there’s no way to open and use them on iPad from there. Have you had this problem at all?
i got the last yr ipad from best buy right before the m1 came out for the price of the iPad air and its amazing for notes and entertainment but the battery life is not the best
I’m thinking about going for the m1 iPad Pro 12’9 But I want to know if it’s worth it going for the 1Tb and get the 16gb rams or just go for a lower ssd memory and just get the 8gb ram… will there be a big difference with all the new updates for procreate and other apps.
I would suggest going for 1 TB if you don’t need the storage The M1 itself is powerful enough to handle everything you are going to throw at it even with 8 GB of ram. Rather use the extra money to buy an Apple Pencil and some accessories for your iPad
Depends on how you intend to use it. Personally I always reached the procreate layer limit pretty easy, especially on bigger canvases. Especially now with the pages feature that never got properly advertised, you can legit put together a first draft storyboard. Though with 720p you can do 100s of panels on an iPad mini gen 6. Anyway I bought the 1tb 16gb of RAM model and I only hit the layer limit a handful of times if that. If you animate in Callipeg it helps, I found Concepts to run better and Nomad sculpt gives you an available RAM notice and my iPad has access to 12gb. And I doubt the 8gb of RAM models get the full RAM access either so you probably looking at twice the capability still. I have an iPad mini as I don’t always want to carry my iPad Pro that has $1000s of dollars worth of client projects I don’t want to lose when I’m on the go. And I compare the two. Those are the only apps I notice the difference with. I don’t edit anything too complicated so Lumafusion works the same for me on both. And I think outside those art apps I mention everything will run well on an entry level iPad and above.
It’s plain a$$ stupid that Apple still not supports 16:9 or 21:9 on the iPad, when you connect it to a Monitor or TV and you get black bars left and right! So I do that stuff with my iPhone and for 21:9 I use the zoom function on my Monitor but on the TV I’m pretty much screwed and that with all that expensive stuff, adapters and dongles Apple likes to sell for a Premium!
