Zappa once said modern classical music was in trouble. His career was devoted to remedying that problem, and succeeded rather well. Genius is often an overused term, but not in reference to Zappa.
"Modern Classical" music is a bit of an oxymoron. Music can't really become truly classical without the passage of time - and then it is no longer modern.
With musicians like our great pianist here ,Zappa's music will never die out ,it will be played by the next generations like Mozart's or Stravinsky's compositions, well done bellissimo.
Absolutely brilliant, Marco... Frank would have been all choked up seeing the superhuman effort you put into transposing it all for solo piano. Grazi, grazi!
Taking the piano to heights I'd never heard before...you are SO excellent, I love that you chose the genius of Zappa to share with us. Speaking of genius, you...
What a fantastic tribute to Frank Zappa! Very lovely to listen to. Thank you for your hard work. All it's missing is a special doily draped across your piano. ARF!
Another evidence that Zappa's work is away from any boundaries. You have a trained classical pianist transcribing Zappa's themes to the piano and all the beauty and complexity of the arrangements are revealed. Congratulations on your work!
This is one of my favorite piano pieces...period! And since it's a composition by Frank Zappa, I truly hope it gets the recognition it deserves- right up there with Rachmaninoff, Debussy, et. al.
Bravo, ottima interpretazione, ottima tecnica e grande rispetto dei brani.grazie, e' sempre bello ascoltare belle interpretazioni della musica di FZ da Partinico.
This is simply excellent , thank you Marco , a wonderful interpretation of Zappas music , I think his music has touched your soul and intelligence , the product here confirms it .
Medley consists of Let's make the water turn black, Harry you're a beast, the Orange County Lumber Truck, Oh No, orange county lumber truck reprise, and opening theme from lumpy gravy....
@@oozzyknobif you get lumpy gravy, be sure to get the original 1968 mix, not the 80s remix...the original is easy to find on TH-cam... vinyl better than CD for sure...
@@oozzyknobI was lucky enough to find a mint first edition copy on the black verve label for only $30 back in 1980. Still have it & it sounds great. PIPCO lives on...
sure that this rendition is putting a wide smile on fz's face - though the items in this compilation aren't quite peaks of his output; thanks anyway for this enlightening video
excellent job. FZ passed away 30 years ago but his music will always be here for us to enjoy.
Bravo, Maestro! Your performance expresses the love and respect Frank Zappa deserves as the greatest composer of his era. Thank you.
Oh my! Beautiful arrangements, sensational renditions. You have added so much to these compositions… thank you for sharing the goodness ❤

Zappa was an example of the next stage of evolution, like Jobs. It gives me hope.
The way I see it Marco, this should be a real dynamite show. Excellent! Bravo!
Uniquely classical just as the composer himself. Genius! Rest in peace Frank. The modern day composer refuses to die

"Oh No I Don't Believe It" was beautiful.
It never ceases to amaze me how timeless his themes and music is. Still ahead of its time
It's going to be ahead of it's time - and ours - for a very long time.
Absolutely fantastic. Thank you Marco. Just added this to my funeral music.
Oh-no at 3:54 is one of the most beautiful piano pieces I have ever heard.
That's quality brilliant thanks man
Absolutely enchanting, such a masterful pianistic reconfiguration of Frank's characteristic compositional idiosyncrasies! 👏👏👏 Triple bravo, maestro ✨💖✨

Witty, clever music played with wit and intelligence. Love it!
It really gets better the more I play this one! I sat and worked out the lumpy gravy theme but the way I play it made the water turn green!

Love this a ton! Kudos...
could listen for hours....
He was, after all, a composer.
When mixed every pot of paint or liquid in any garage or yard ends up turning black as every boy, soon learns. Excellent analogy of life.
if you know the history behind the lyrics, you know that frank wasn’t referring to paint… 😂
Complimenti! Anche Frank, da qualche parte, ti starà ascoltando!
Very nice. I love your choice of the L.G. Theme ending.
