    "Winner of first prizes at the Nancy Conservatory in singing (Christine Stutzmann's class), harp, chamber music and analysis, graduate in musicology, finalist in several international competitions (Canari, Caballé, Bellini, Epinal), Julie Cherrier joined the Opera Studio of the Accademia Sainte-Cécile in Rome, where she received teaching from Renata Scotto and Danilo Rigosa. Spotted and congratulated at length by Michel Senéchal and Teresa Berganza, Julie continues her quest for excellence alongside Cristina Pasaroiu, Jean-Philippe Lafont and Sylvie Valayre.

She regularly gives recitals of cycles by Poulenc, Fauré, Debussy, lieder by Schubert, Turina, de Falla, Liszt, Chaslin among others.
    She is also invited to perform sacred works, notably the Requiem, mass in C minor by Mozart, Fauré, Brahms, King David by Honneger… She has the pleasure of working with the conductors Kanako Abe, Luciano Acocella, Didier Benetti , Denis Comtet, Philippe Entremont, Marco Guidarini, Julien Leroy, Jacques Mercier, Patrizia Mezler, Dominique Rouits, Arie van Beek, Pascal Verrot, Elizabeth Cooper, Emile Lardeux, Frédéric Chaslin and with prestigious ensembles such as the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the 'National Orchestra of China, Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie of Mannheim, National Orchestra of Lorraine, the Orchestra of Picardy, Avignon, Montpellier, the Nancy Opera Orchestra, Choirs and the Ballet of Metz, the Lamoureux Orchestra , the French Octet. She also performs in chamber music with the musicians Gilles Apap, Dana Ciocarlie, Nicolas Dautricourt, Marion Desjacques, Philippe Entremont, Etsuko Hirosé, Sebastien Van Kuijk, Yo Yo Ma, Aurélien Pascal, Véra Tsybakov, Tristan Pfaff, Sélim Mazari, Pascal Contet .     Julie is also the artistic director of the “Autun en emboy la voix” and “Musique aux Mirabelles” Festivals.
    She began her recording career in 2020 under the APARTE label with a disc dedicated to French classics of melody and two cycles composed for her by Frédéric Chaslin on poems by Cocteau, and Alain Duault. Her second album to be published, with trumpet player Lucienne Renaudin Vary, sees her explore the piano, trumpet and voice trio, on texts by Cocteau, Duault and Boris Vian, with the participation of Pierre Arditi reciting. A third disc will be released in June 2023 with “La Voix Humaine” by Poulenc and Cocteau, as well as a new orchestrated version of “Fiançailles pour lire”, with the orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice under the direction of Frédéric Chaslin who orchestrated the Poulenc cycle on this occasion.
