I love silk scarves and have worn them for forty years, trending or not. I learned this from some very glamorous French coworkers, it’s such a classic French accessory.
I love how I do not feel alone in my obsession for fashion while watching you & reading the comments!!! Everyone has their loves & talents & fashion is mine. I used to feel ashamed & shamed because of how much I enjoy shopping & investing time into how I dress.
For some reason you look especially beautiful in this video and in the one you posted before. I can’t really pinpoint what it is but you seem to look fresher than more youthful. Love your content.
I have been listening and watching your TH-cam channel for a year or so now and I really enjoy your opinions but I got to tell you as a 64 year old blonde Texas woman that was given jewelry as a newborn LOL . I have always loved fashion you do not have to apologize for your opinion you are a wonderful beautiful intelligent woman and you're allowed your thoughts and it seems like lately you have second-guess yourself too much . No I don't know if that's just your thoughts on fashion or something else but you don't need to do that honey does a wonderful song that says honey you're in the middle of the ride just be yourself don't let anybody else put you down you are enough I looked back over some of the ones from the past and you really are so go for it honey I don't know maybe I needed to hear that smile you're doing great we're both in the middle of the ride❤
I have always had pastel bags and I always get compliments on them. I had a butter-yellow Kate Spade and I currently have a light blue and a pink Tory Burch. And - I will bring out my burgundy Tory in a couple of months. I am all about the colors. 👛
Your makeup! WOW!! My mom brought me a beautiful silk scarf with butterflies from Italy! I didn't think about wearing it in summer! I should pull it out!
This video and the previous your skin looks so bright and youthful! I've been enjoying my oval hoops on repeat lately, maybe I shouldn't be afraid to add the sparkle, the hoops your wearing look great.
Anna, I appreciate the energy, time and insight you continue to provide us!! Was wondering if you would share about your new halo hair piece. It's so natural and beautiful on you!! Either way, thanks for what you do!! Maureen
I look forward to your videos❤❤❤ I love structured bags with a zip closure and outside zip pocket. Your hair looks beautiful! Thanks, Anna, for your videos.
I love pastel colored bags! I also love earth tones, terracotta and mustard colored bags as well!! The solid green dress looks wonderful on you! Very effortless, yet chic. My kind of dress!!!
I’m 77 😱 and one of my first handbags was a pink leather “ bucket” one. I had to have it because it was THE bag to have! Leather bags were everywhere and not terribly expensive. Where has all the leather gone? I was junior high or early high school. Turns out- I didn’t like the shape that much…
Good morning. Happy to see scarfs coming back as being popular (I have some nice ones that I’ve held onto) . It’s still entirely too hot here to wear a scarf in any way (except maybe as a hair tie) or attached to a purse. Hopefully- I will wear some of the scarfs (scarves) this fall.
I agree. I think great scarves like great belts are always a wise investment. They may spend seasons or years in the wardrobe, but then will come out and make you look super cool (as well as super smug 😅)
Slouchy bags are cute but I really dislike having to dig out the entire contents of my purse just to find a pen lol. I like a structured bag with separate pockets/sections for organization.
Great Video, Anna! I have the same Amazon bag! Seems to go with all my summer outfits and super practical. Love you in the long hair btw! Very flattering!
Love the blue pastel bags, I do have them found the right one yet! Still looking. I agree with you about the Rabia bags to you can’t have an open bag. Great video. Thank you.
My favorite pastel bag is my pale blue Dooney & Bourke Florentine Hattie drawstring bucket bag. Beautiful, comfortable to wear and surprisingly versatile. ❤
Anna, your videos make me so happy. Like today, the slouchy bags... I have two Bottega Veneta Campana bags (one in teal, one in rose pink) that have been sitting out a few years and are definitely ready to go out again
Great video!!! I bought a pastel blue Radley of London handbag earlier this year, my first from the brand, it’s smaller in size and thoughtfully designed 💙 Even though I love my vintage red Brahmin shoulder bag, I bought a red Coach Tabby 26 in late winter and recently I purchased a cordovan (burgundy) Kate Spade Hudson Medium Convertible Shoulder Bag, the size of the KS is best for my needs and the burgundy color is quite versatile 🌟
Toffee was such a neutral accessory color ; I look forward to accessorizing with a nice burgundy loafer for fall. Great way to update what I already have.
I love the beaded bag trend - Staud, Anthropologie, America & Beyond... they're all so cute!! I love carrying a bag that is unexpected and unique and not the standard LV/YSL that *everyone* carries...
I work outside and I put on scarfs everyday especially in the summer. I wrap one around my neck and head as well 😂mainly for sun protection but I also love the look of it paired with glasses i feel it makes me look very glamorous
Hi Anna you look very beautiful. OMG your hair are so long 😍 Great ponts, accessories are so important, it creates style instead of just wearing brands. I am not chasing trends anymore.i am on changing my style journey, and I love it. I almost 100% replaced my closet. The majority of my stuffy, too overtop Chanel sold, and replaced with Old Celine archives and other designer’s following. Phoebe Philo style. I don’t know how she did it, but it’s timeless, it’s enough casual, but can be dressy, and i style with her accessories as well. It’s style it’s edgy, and it’s trendy. And some of her archive pieces are so rare, like a cult. And omg the quality , the cut amazing. So. I am having so much fun , not chasing new collections.it’s still so much to get from the past.😜 Have a blessed day🙏❤️
I’ve always worn cat eye sunglasses because they look the best on me. Also, I’ve worn scarves for 40 years and I keep my leopard print because every time I put it away. I pull it back out because it’s on trend again. I have a , Belt, shoes, and scarves in leopard print.😂❤
Ok, agree not going for super casual open summer rafia etc. totes or bssket bags. Thanks for reminding me to pull my straw types off the shelf!! I’ve only taken one out twice. Pastel leather, braided, woven fabric, purses: several lavender violet, a pale blue, a butter yellow, a cool pastel green; collected in my closet, as they’re easily paired in California climate most of the year actually. You’re spot on w/ the blue and violet!
You are so right about the bags. I have been pondering for months about a Demellier Santorini bag. I didn’t even think about it being completely open at the top. I have a basket bag & I like it for the most part. My kids despise it, though. I was going to purchase the Santorini bag as a compromise.
Agree completely with finding great scarves at thrift stores. I think a lot of people are gifted them and never use them so they end up donating them. The best part--it gives you the ability to buy some that you might not normally buy, give them a try and then not feel bad at all if they don't work and you re-donate them! I love my pastel bags, just fun pop of color for summer without having to buy an entirely new wardrobe.
Because of you I bought the Staud beaded bag with the swimmers all over it. I love it! I do realize that I can only use it during the summer months, but it’s still worth it to me. The size is perfect - not too big and not too small. I might put another one on my holiday wish list.
Hallo, your Haircut and way of Stalingrad your Gair looks very beautiful on you. Thank for this Video. I have been watching your videos for a cozple of years and Ifind it very Inspirationen. Thank you🎉😊
3:31 my next door neighbour can say this! 🤣 I have 17 silk scarf’s lol! I own a few lavender accessories, including bags. All shades of purple are a staple In my wardrobe. Like you said paring it with grey, navy, beige or crème which are all the neutrals I have I can pair with my lavender & soft pink and it looks lovely! 🥰
I got a raffia/straw bag from Loewe when I went to Paris in the spring. I love it!! I am searching for the perfect red purse!! Red is my favorite color and I cant believe I cant find one I love!!
I have a woven bag like you described -- always open. I'm never completely at ease when I'm carrying it, but I have started putting a scarf on the top of the contents to make it a little harder to see what's in the bag, or to reach in and grab my wallet. Not fool-proof but I am a little more likely to use the bag now. I love the look of it and don't want to give it up!!!
Scarfs are definitely not my thing. Diamonds are always in like you said. Love the pastel blue but idk if I would get one. Bangers and cuffs look nice. Love the straw and raffia bags but must have a zipper on it. Love my baseball caps for walking. Red is my favorite color, love it.
I loove my light pastel bags, small cross body bags in leather! Light yellow/butter, turquoise etc! I also have a navy blue and white striped bucketbag with a navy blue rafia woven round lower part! It’s not wide and closes easily with two navy strings that you pull! So I agree completely about those wide bags! Silk scarves a’ la Hermes are very classic! I have a few from my mum in different coloursettings! Take care in the heat, Anna! It’s only + 24*C (+76*F) here in south of Swedens it’s nice! Bye from 🇸🇪🌤🌻
I do have a pastel blue coach bag that is in dust bag storage .. lol .. in the closet not being used. Sigh, I have an issue using my really nice things.
For me, the amount of red depends on the context. If I have a red bag, red lipstick hits the limit for business casual. If I am going to the gym, a red T and red sneakers if fine with clear lip balm. Analogous colors can also be fun at the gym, like a red T and orange sneakers. And I am a big fan of colored flipflops with shorts or summer dresses. But on the fifth gloomy rainy day, bring it all on with multiple layers of bright colors . Periwinkle and denim practically glow in the blue light of a rainy day, but I've been known to wear all red on everything just to cheer up my mood. When in autumn mode, I also love to go all grey everywhere with a pair of surprise socks in red or yellow. Looks like fun. Looks like confidence even when I'm not feeling it yet.
I'm now searching for a ball cap. Some 15 years ago, I hosted Vanessa Redgrave at a film festival. She arrived in a navy SSU ball cap, her silver hair flowing out of the vent in the back. My 84 year old friend often sports an embellished ball cap. Older women look great in them AND they can save you on a messy hair day.
I actually ditch that rule of wearing colors according to the seasons. I've had compliments when I've worn turquoise blue in the colder months and burgundy during the spring.
I do love your channel and am a subscriber. I am commenting on this video because I don’t want to click on the video I want to comment on. “What Trends to Avoid if you are over 40”. We have to stop placing rules on women for any reason. Size, age, skin color. We have to stop putting women in a box with arbitrary rules they have to follow because they are plus size or older. So I object to rules based on who we are. Feel free to put up arbitrary rules about fashion itself - that is what fashion is - but women have to stop putting women in a box that they have to live in. There are no restrictions, be your best self, whoever that is.
While sitting in my seat as many people were still boarding a plane, a lady a couple of seats in front of me was stowing her carry on and her purse that was open on top spilled on the floor. We helped her gather things up, many rolled away. Her bag wasn't open like the open one you showed that you could see in but was open at top with no zipper. Seemed unsafe for travel with wallets and passports so open Big no for me.
I’ll be wearing baseball caps forever, probably. I garden and mow and do all kinds of dirty things- which means I shower often. My hair dries fuzzy and lumpy on its own, and I’m not gonna “ fix” it every day ( too much heat styling). So- working outside, or running quick errands--it’s a baseball cap for me. Who cares if the ponytail out the back is a bit frizzy?
The beaded bag trend will outlast the striped bag trend..... You're not wrong about the openness of the raffia bag... if you can get one with a zipper... that's a better option
Sunglasses Tips: 😎😎😎😎😎😎. Check where the nose bridge sits on your favorite sunglasses at home. The nose bridge determines how much of the glasses will rest above your eyebrows. A lot of the butterfly shapes and round sunglasses will cover more of your forehead. That looks off on my face shape but it might be just the thing for you. This trick will save you from trying on every pair of glasses and makes online purchases more predictable. The other tip for online purchases is to measure the width of the narrowest and widest sunglasses that look good on you. Usually online descriotions will specify the width. You will save yourself from returning glasses that are just too narrow or too wide. I like the modern cat eye glasses when the nose bridge is closer to the top so they don't reach over my eyebrows, the frames are a little thicker, they are on the wider side and the lenses are a little longer, covering all of my tender under-eye area and just touching my cheek. Less expensive online sunglasses are a great way to "audition" a new frame shape for a few weeks before spending the big money on prescription lenses. I have even taken sunglasses to an optical shop and they've put clear prescription lenses in for me. And I have had fun having turquoise to green mirror prescription lenses put into some inexpesive turquoise frames. Next, I will have colored prescription lenses put into a pair of 20-year-old prescription wire-frames that I love but can no longer see out of. That's going to be a big savings because I won't have to pay for frames. $❤$$❤$❤$❤$❤❤$❤$❤$❤$❤$❤$

For some reason you look especially beautiful in this video and in the one you posted before. I can’t really pinpoint what it is but you seem to look fresher than more youthful. Love your content.
She is looking good! she has a bit of a summer glow and the extra hair length is so flattering!
Not revealing my age, but I have cotton and silk scarves from when I was at university that i still wear. French . Classic. Timeless❤❤❤
That’s amazing! ❤
I have scarves that I got from my mother. They are classic

I like using long skinny scarves as belts. It can be a great look in the summer.
Absolutely!
Also as a tie for a ponytail.
I have always had pastel bags and I always get compliments on them. I had a butter-yellow Kate Spade and I currently have a light blue and a pink Tory Burch. And - I will bring out my burgundy Tory in a couple of months. I am all about the colors. 👛

I have a yellow pastel bag. I think they are fun for Spring. For summer I always wear a straw bag. I like the scarves for my hair in the summer.

I LOVE SCARVES! I always wear one with a jacket-protects the neck of your jacket from “ neck dirt” and, I like to think, adds a bit of panache
Slouchy bags are cute but I really dislike having to dig out the entire contents of my purse just to find a pen lol. I like a structured bag with separate pockets/sections for organization.

Love this video! When I see the draw string purse/bag I think hmmm I had 1 in high-school 30 years ago...no I'm good😊

I have that same straw purse from Amazon and I love it. I got three compliments on my outfit the first day I wore it.
It's Quince as in quintuplets.
Been watching you for awhile Always good information. You look very very great! Nice hair❤
Good morning : ) I have been trying to add to my accessories lately. Just got some cat eye sunglasses a couple weeks ago 👍
Nice! I love mine! Such a fun shape ❤️❤️
I just bought that lovely , little Celine ( Panier) straw/ raffia bag it looks fabulous with my causal summer outfits. Nice video thx Anna ❤ 👜
Thank you.
Bye from 🇸🇪🌤🌻
I’ve been watching Fashion Week videos and came away with huge bags, chunky gold everything, and buttons. Big bold gold buttons!
❤️❤️❤️
I bought a couple of silk scarves and haven't used them much. I would like some ideas how how to incorporate them effortlessly into looks.
I like the pastel blue , but have not found the perfect bag yet :)
Same! ❤️❤️
The loft has a nice pastel blue bag
Bag looks great--probably don't need another one!
Your longer hair looks good on u!
Your hair and makeup has been looking fabulous in your recent videos. New hair stylist? Or what?
Please tell me where you got that maxi skirt 🥰 You wear it beautifully btw 🙌✨
Agree with you. I don’t like that they are all wide open. Not safe.
I do have a pastel blue coach bag that is in dust bag storage .. lol .. in the closet not being used. Sigh, I have an issue using my really nice things.
Love accessories as a
RED looks best with ONE piece only. Red "matchy matchy" shoes and purse are TOO MUCH in my opinion
I am 70 and agree. Red bag OR red shoes. I especially love the flash of red shoes or boots with a neutral/dark ensemble

When in autumn mode, I also love to go all grey everywhere with a pair of surprise socks in red or yellow.
Looks like fun.
Looks like confidence even when I'm not feeling it yet.
No
Good, you say it's your opinion. Some people really rock more red than one piece.
Just an fyi Anna,, quince is a type of fruit and is pronounced kwince, not like the Spanish 15, pronounced keen-seh.
Where are your gold braid sandals from?
They have real suede slouchy bags on ASOS under£60 some of them too ❤
Where can I find modern looking silk tops? Any brand or website you can recommend? I appreciate your suggestions.
Me encanta tu pelo, te ha crecido mucho. Ese corte te hace lucir muy jovial.
Gracias por tus videos.
Soy una latina que te sigue desde california.
Are you wearing extensions? Your hairs seems to have grown a lot in the last month? Very pretty
A round rafia bag will have an opening that is more manageable.

I really like your black top, is it a dress? And is black ok for summer??
Great info! Please share the name or link to your sister-in-law's channel.
I like the red accents for the warmer months but think burgundy or wine accessories are for cold weather, period. They are too dark for warm weather.
I actually ditch that rule of wearing colors according to the seasons. I've had compliments when I've worn turquoise blue in the colder months and burgundy during the spring.
Nope. It is actually the opposite .

What are you saying after the Half Moon bags remark. Your cc shows it as AIS? You should slow down your speech. Sounds breathy.
I like pastel blue, but worried that it will get dirty easily.
I’m the same way I don’t like my bags wide open
Sunglasses Tips:

Can you make a video on how to wear red vs burgundy?
Red is the only color I can’t wear. It does not complement me at all! I wonder if burgundy would. So I would be interested in this video concept!
That would be a fun topic let me see what I can do! ❤️❤️❤️

My bank account will not suffer for the 2024 trends. No to animal prints, high neck and especially anything of fur; fake or real.
No way on the baseball cap! I’ve never seen a woman or girl, who looks fashionable in a baseball cap….sorry ladies.
