Hi because of the reviews that says that this is a very close skin scent I bought the fragrance anyway it has an awesome smell even be applied. What I have been trying for the past few weeks in the first week was putting on unscented moisturizer on to my skin allowing it to absorb for about 5 minutes and then spraying metallic on it metallic has great longevity I average about 9 hours but I bet it could go more my second observation

I just got a sample, as I didn't want to blind buy it. I don't get any metal from this at all. I get citrusy creamy vanilla, with a bit of a medicinal smell at first spray. But it dries down so wonderful!
I just received my 100ml bottle. A Tom Ford sales rep at Saks recommend this fragrance. Imo this is more floral twist to Vanille Fatale (which Icown ). After testing, I loved the dry down vanilla musky skin scent. In the right weather and occasion, this man wearing Metallique.
My second experiment was again using unscented body moisturizer but only in the Pulse points or points where you reply your fragrance for example your wrists in the inside of your elbows your neck behind your neck on your chest and I first started would survive very cool spray left it on for a few minutes to dry and a top of it sprayed on the metallic and it was an awesome combination every year and there I got both of Aventus awesome
I just sampled this, and I don't get strong metal, but it does smell slightly of a kitchen mixer after running and you smell the electric components. It's hard to explain.
Aldehydes encompass so many different kinds of smells. Listing them as notes is like saying a fragrance contains alcohols, isolates, esters, or essential oils. Aldehydes are part of nearly every fragrance you care to mention.
Have a sample coming in pretty quick. I've tested MANY Tom Ford perfumes and have noticed there seems to be no happy medium with him...you either love the particular scent or ya hate it!!! LOL! So far, I've decided Noir pour femme and Lost Cherry are my faves (albeit, Lost Cherry does fade out fast some days...others not so much...weird!). Anyway, after seeing your review, I'm really looking forward to getting this sample! Thanks! :)

In perfume tradition are there any protocols regarding wearing scents? Can you wear what you chose or are there traditional styles of scents or specific notes to be preferable or avoided? In keeping with good taste is it customary to wear something the deceased is known for liking? Or is it about appeasing one's own fragrance palette? Anyone aware of certain authority's opinion on funeral etiquette as it relates to scent, or even perhaps to religious tradition? Just thought I would ask? Like, are there customary genre of scents for funerals? Perhaps incense? Stuff like that. I could see Amouage Memoir Man as being thought of as respectable under those circumstances. But, perhaps I'm overthinking the situation...

I personally think it’s leans more toward the feminine side so definitely go and try it before you spend so much money on it. As a woman I wouldn’t really like to smell this on a man but that’s just me.

Yes, but Metallique smells strongly bad, for me. It is too much that I begin to smell Play-Doh and armpit sweat. That's a pass for me for sure!!

This one is a beefy skin scent? I feel it's potency it just doesn't have much projection especially after it's been worn a bit! ;)
