I love that you do comic book reviews from the point of view of a guy who simply doesn't have much interest in monthly superhero books anymore and you DON'T have to feel bad about that. There are already COUNTLESS channels doing comic book reviews by people who ARE into monthly superhero universe comics. The community NEEDS someone in YOUR situation, because like myself, there are plenty of people who still have an interest in reading comics, but just don't have much interest in the standard superhero universes anymore. Just keep doing what you're doing, Carl!
Hyde Street artwork looks fantastic. "EE-Vaughn Hace" is fabulous as usual!

Thanks Rubén, I’m definitely at peace with sticking (mostly) to the non superhero stuff. I just don’t want to come across as someone who goes out of their way to be negative about books from the big 2. This was a solid start to a story, just not really something i personally feel compelled to read. That said, Absolute Batman comes out next week and let’s see what it goes for me interest wise. I do agree though, that I think my perspective is one that isn’t really represented. Primarily an art collector but still interested in seeing what is currently in shops. All too often people my age dismiss comics as a whole because of what the big two might be offering. Let the big two chase a new reader, there is nothing wrong with that and the industry needs it. I just like seeing what is out there for me.

Oh and also, thanks for the reminder. I knew as I was saying his name that I was saying it wrong, just didn’t want to stop and do another edit. 😂

@@CarlsCollection You don't come off as a "Big Two Negative Nellie". As long as you constantly preface the review videos by reminding people your interests these days just doesn't really lie in the superhero genre anymore, you'll be alright.

Absolute is worth a read, even if you just pick-up the 4 issues of Absolute Power. It was a first for a long time where the tie-ins were totally about the story-arc and not just a sneeze in its direction. Red Coat is my favourite character in the Ghost machine books at the moment, reminds me of Ichabod Crane from Sleepy Hollow, which I really enjoyed! Haven't read #6 yet, looking forward to it as well as the first issue of Hyde st. I just showed 3 of those books on my little channel, but just showed them! Leave it to you and others for the synopsis, lol! All-in was good, hopefully they don't fall flat on their faces after a few issues of the Trinity books, like you said, haven't we seen it before?

I’ve heard good things about Absolute Power, which is a good sign if they can stack solid stories on top of each other. Agreed, Red Coat has been so much fun so far! Looking forward to seeing where they go from here!
