I've lived here in Maryland since the 80s Joppa town highschool is about 10 mins from me it's one of the only highschools without metal detectors I can't understand why the other highschool have them and not Joppa town my daughter goes to Bel Air highschool which is a Harford county public school as well and they have police officers in the school all day long and metal detectors kids nowadays are a lot different than when I went to school this school shooting crap needs to stop something needs to be done I feel horrible for the parents that lost their child today I can't even imagine what they are going through

The system didn't punish the bullies, they encouraged them. It became the accepted norm. Then things escalate to theft, property damage and other issues. I just wrote a book about this called Ronin Children. If the students don't find justice from the adults expected to provide it, then they will make their own, and it will not be fair and equitable. You won't see guns in schools when kids no longer feel they need them.
