    Price is a one time thing, cost is a long term thing (how much will you spend repairing?).
    Think long term.

    Customer: Your price is too high
    You: Mr.customer, is it price or cost?
    Customer: What is the difference? What do you mean?
    You: Give an example (Zig Ziglar, in his book "Secrets of closing sale", then ask: Is it price or cost, Mr.Customer?
    You: A lot of people can beat us on price, but no body can beat us on cost
    That shift the customers' thinking from price to cost

    Sir victor, i am dentist and used the cost vs price concept to a patient while explaining the estimate of entire treatment. to my surprise , patient's hubby is a cycle vendor in our city. baam..they paid advance 70% of total estimate and got their treatment started. its almost 80000 rupees (nearly 1200$).

    If there are costumers says 'Your price so high" if that is a goods we can say "There are paid for a price, and price for quality, and quality for perform'. (Not talking about discount)

    This reflects my attitude to spending. I look for long term savings not short term. I use that when telling customers about the benefits of the new products and how much it will save them long term.

    Hi Victor. Love your videos. Additionally i do have question related to the price is too high. I am in an export business, where i sell my products to importers / distributors in overseas countries. Sometimes clients give ridiculous prices, i might add even below my cost sometimes, like really low prices and their reason of giving such prices because their import duty is high / or the market selling price is really low. So how do i handle such objections? Will appreciate if you could advice me on this. Thanks / Nicky

    The price vs cost is brilliant thinking but how do you defend this if you sell SaaS solutions where a client pays, say quarterly ? SaaS / subscription models usually costs more over time to the client.

    How old is this price vs cost work in the context of selling art? For example, I'm a painter and I often have my art on display at coffee shops and on rare occasions galleries. If my art is on sale and it's unframed then the person who buys it would have to buy a frame for it. On the other hand, if the work is already framed, the person will love the painting but they may not like the particular frame and want to get a different one. Either way they'd be spending their own money to get a frame.

    Hello Victor, I own a small scale B2B business (we manufacture production machineries).
    You have always stressed on emphasising values of product over price,
    But in our case, customer on first call itself (we have to approach all customers over call only, since its not possible to visit them all over the country), they ask for us to mail them technical specifications and price. After which they never seem to understand why our prices are higher.
    We offer best price to quality ratio in the market.
    What do you think I should do in this case.

    We can see quality and perform and we know as buyers the price
    There price for quality, perform to paid.
    Or find cheap costumers for buying that goods. The prices of goods is calculated of the cost of production & distribution and the costs of delivery to the places.

      Yes,,there is a price to be paid and the appearance of the goods. Cheap isn't cheaper, the price depends quality of goods. So find some cheap costumers, or find some cheaper price if costumer need it.
