I know this is a bit of an old video but do you know of any free realistic electric guitar VST's that don't require me to actually own an electric guitar? I like to remix songs with a hint of heavy metal, and I'm just not feeling that same feeling with the guitar sample that comes with the DAW I have, and for some reason, these specific VST's are really hard to come by.
That's a tricky one to be honest, as I don't know of any for free that are electric :( However, there is still a couple of days left for you to enter my giveaway for your choice of Ample Sound plugins :) Watch here: th-cam.com/video/67wcRrTT8sA/w-d-xo.html
A good electric guitar VST is Spitfires LABS! It's a platform where you can download a lot of different instruments on the same VST platform, the best one I've found. And all of them are free too, works good for me :)
@@williampersson12 I'll be sure to check that one out, up until now I've been relying on SC-55 samples and a custom guitar sample that sounds too synthetic that came with my DAW.
Thank you for making it! It seems to want to find it's way onto much music. Sounds gorgeous behind an acoustic guitar. I think it's the raw eathiness of it!
An obvious late comment. I was truly inspired. And I thank you for all of the instruction and for the effort and time that you put into your videos. I would like to submit my entry for the title of the composition at the end; Early Meadow
Thank you for all the VST info, big help. Also great song composition. For what its worth I'd name it "When the Pedals Fall," as in flower pedals. Take care :-)
Song is called "My Dog Dumped Me"..... ....so its 2157 - you're in a survival horror game (possibly reality by this time) and you are the hero but at the end of the game - you have two choices 1) Die 2) Survive - Choice 1 is Game Over and its the "bad" ending (cue death cut scene) - Choice 2 - you survive, however, man's (person's?) best friend (your dog) nudges you to safety and faces the horror that is out to get you. Your dog takes down the horror but in doing so dies in the process.....5:55 cue your music at the end of this video.......!!
@@WW-1995 I actually wasn't thinking of Fallout when I commented because its an eternity since I played it (3 and NV). Was more imagining Last Of Us, Resi Evil, Horizon Zero Dawn, etc (even though no dogs) but now you mention it the music fits Fallout better. Note: I hope Fallout 4 isn't ruined by making the dog invincible (I've yet to play it)...
Nice review and great arrangement. The only thing is that they aren't strictly speaking all free. The cello requires the full version of Kontakt, which, at £359.00 is a fair few quid away from being free. Great if you've already got it, but as a pre-requisiite it does put the dampeners on "free". Keep up the reviews. They're excellent
Truly amazing, Mike. Like so many of your videos , it's not just what you create - but what you make people realize - or understand - is possible, And for free? Thanks. (And that's a very nice piece too! :)
Really refreshing to hear an Aussie accent on-line these days Mike! You may have crossed paths with Pete Johns in here? Always on the look-out for a bargain & you've tickled my fancy with 4 of your 5 gems. Being a bass player, good as emulations get . . sounded good, 'till the octaves . . Thanks, oh, song title - Wisteria
Your final composure was definitely inspiring. Subbed. Love that guitar plug-in and your tempo slow down ending. I want that! Tempo slow down, Automation? Im familiar with Propellar Head Reason.
Great video and absolutely beautiful piece of music. New subscriber and looking forward to seeing what else your channel has to offer. Thanks for the heads up on the pluggins.
Thanks. Very well done. Your piece of music is very Sweet and calming. I follow your footsteps and downloaded your recommendations. I have to figure out ow to import the VST files intom my KORG Pa700. Thanks again
I feel this as when you've held on to a "regret" and you're saying goodbye to it as a goodbye to an old friend. You've grown used to the feeling of loss, such as a break-up with a mate...held for so long just trapped in the sorrow of it as if it is the end of the world...then this song is that moment when you decide to let that go and move on... I'd call it "the end of the rain". It's a really awesome work imo no matter what you decide to name it. props my man.

Not free, but UJAM's Iron Guitar is killer....
