Meet - Myrtle ! 🦧💛
The cute baby girl orangutan at Chester Zoo is growing in strength and is safe and is beginning to walk and climb.
This video is the latest in a fairly long series of videos featuring the baby orangutan at 6 months old recorded in February 2024
The adorable baby is 40 year old Sarikei's 4th baby and is a wonderful ray of hope to the survival of these amazing rare critically endangered animals
The love Sarikei and her son Tombol have for the new baby is so apparent
We have released many videos of this adorable baby girl are available to watch on this channel and more videos have been recorded of the baby at different progressive stages of her development over the last 7 months.
Critically Endangered Orangutans
Bornean Orangutans have been considered critically endangered since 2016 with an only an estimated 100,000 left in the wild. They are seriously in danger of extinction which makes the birth of this new baby orangutan very special indeed

Myrtle is adorable. She is really developing beautifully and exercising those little legs. Next thing you know she will be climbing. Mom looks so calm and cool here, I love how Orangutan mothers tend to be so calm and patient,

Mrytle is cuteness OVERLOAD i think my head just might explode im so happy, she is freaking ADORABLE and i HAVE to know who her hair stylist is.

I love how mum was just laying there knowing her little baby was taking her very first steps her arms waiting to catch baby incase she fell. That baby is so adorable her little face and her hair I want to hug them both. Thankyou for sharing a precious moment xx
