Nice way to make a customer happy and have yourself a dirt dump pit on the sly. I wouldn't bother moving those rocks that are going to be deep below grade though, save the equipment.
Maybe I missed something. I'd have knocked down the trees, removed all the debris, dealt with the water pipe and covered it over. After that, I'd push the boulders down to the bottom, keeping them off the pipe. This to avoid beating the heck out of the excavator thumb.600 trucks is what I figured at 15 yards a truck. X 1 hr return? trip. 90$ hr = 54K$ ish. Let alone drainpipe, excavator loading and maybe Bobcat or small dozer to grade it out. 5 min a truck to load + 50 hrs for the excavator. Add 10% for contingencies.Just guessing.
better to left big rocks like that .. dig abit of a hole roll it into it.. pick it up without the thumb.. put that thumb away and just use the bucket itself.. much easier for handling those big rock... i do it without the thumb never had one before .. easier for larger rocks..imo.. good luck chris

I love your chanel, I would love to be able to master the excavator like you do but, you suck at handling rock! I think you guys down there have been spoiled with too much beautiful no rock dirt. Them rocks can be a problem! LOL

Surface scratches are ok, you can generally clean them up, just don't knock chunks out.

it would be easy to let it roll to the bottom, but i have to run a 18" pipe down at the bottom and dont want that massive thing in the way down there
