Redban is a stand-up comic and podcaster who is responsible for many of the podcasts you know and love. With the creation of Deathsquad, Redban has often been called "The Podfather." Redban tells Ryan about growing up in Ohio and how it was very different than his life in Los Angeles. Bullying, Free Wendy's whenever he wanted and being held back a grade are all things that happened before Redban made it out west. Redban also talks about his early days of internet pranks, plus getting started in stand-up comedy.

I look back fondly on his time at JRE, but im glad he isnt there anymore. Ryan is a boss producer, a podcast-producing genius....but he is not an entertainer. He can be entertaining, but not in that volume.

Redban is a rare breed. And sickler is one of the best . Can’t wait for this episode.
I understand why Redban got a lot of shit & negative feedback, mostly from Rogan, but I always preferred he be there as far as the onset of the podcast world. He's representative to me of a nostalgia I feel when I think about first watching/giving a shit about podcasts. He's kind of like the kid who never really grew up but I think he means well. Good to see you again, Redban!

Orlando Trustfull Redban has made me laugh a whole bunch of times, it’s not the humor I don’t like. I just legit can’t stand listening to someone laughing about killing animals. It’s not funny. He’s not hunting for meat or anything, he’s just killing. Maybe I’m crazy or sensitive, that’s fine. I legit capture the spiders in my house and let them free outside, I don’t like killing things.

@@scottbaylo I don't know what it is. Redban just annoys me and I can't pinpoint what it is. He seems nice enough. I don't know, just I can be watching a podcast that he's on and everything will be going perfectly fine and then he will do something and it hits me like nails on a chalk board and I have to quit watching immediately. Just now after I posted this reply Redban tells a story that starts @20:10 about a kitten and when he does that laugh at the end @20:27. That is it. That story and that laugh to conclude the story is it. That shit is an example why he just makes me cringe sometimes.

When he starts telling stories about the bad shit that he did when he was a kid whilst laughing like a child that is saying something it knows it shouldn't be saying, that is exactly how my 11 year old nephew acts. The stories he is telling about the dead birds aren't the stories a 40 something should be telling with the glee of a kid. It's just odd. He is so proud of the ridiculous shit he's talking about in these stories, even as he's telling them to Sickler on this podcast 30 some years after they happened. It's the same kind of stories that he would start to tell when he was on JRE and Rogan would tell him to be quiet or to shut up and stop being ridiculous.
