I am impressed with how you used the bare minimum tools and supplies to make a great looking piece of terrain! I think this is a great tutorial and I look forward to your next ones.
Thank you, I tried to take the bare minimum to it's extremes in this one and I honestly think it would make a great table with multiple on there. Thank you very kindly :)
Great video, and I'm really glad to see people just using cardboard, because finding XPS foam or foamboard where I live is an absolute nightmare. Only one thing to say: It would be amazing if we could see a longer shot of the finished piece at the end of the video!
Hey, and thank you, that's why I mix up materials. But the reason the end shots are shot, is because people were clicking off the video when they started, so I am basically trying to help myself on youtube! Not a great answer but the truth :)
The production is only getting better, sir! The idea to use filler and paint mix on the corrugation is so obviously good that I can’t believe I haven’t thought of it on my own before now.
Thank you, it's sort of funny I am trying to make higher quality videos of the cheapest terrain you can possibly make! An alternative to filler would be pva and sand, but I haven't actually done that and don't think I would like the texture. Thanks :)
It’s very satisfying to make my D&D terrain from things lying around the house. My wife and her family are kind enough to save me unusual boxes and packaging. This is a really nice piece. Thanks for sharing it with us. Keep the great clips coming!
Yeah, I wanted to show that just using really simple stuff you might already have, you can build okay stuff. I would recommend a hot glue gun, pva and a brown paint as well though. good luck
how i wish that youtube existed 20 years ago when i started doing warhammer haha, your tips are fantastic il borrow this one for a video later and tweak it a bit just for fun. il drop you a comment somewhere when my terrain channel is setup and ready :)
Im working on some 2nd editon blood angels so anything would help get me through doing them as i only really have a pretty cheapo airbrush, just finished Tycho amd Mephiston but got a load of troops to do. Great video man i hope you get around to doing one of each of the races in the future as well, no one would say not to an Ork.
I thought 'I know I will by a laser cutter and have free terrain for ever' we I am 500 pounds in with the cutter plus accessories and other tool and STILL do not have any terrain lol :)
For sure, that's really the end goal, it's great if you can spend lots and get all the fancy stuff but no harm in super cheap if that's what you need :)
Using the glue stick and super glue really showed your dedication to the concept of free. You could dress these up with brick rubble made from cut up sprues. Also free!
@@edevans5991 hehe I try to be a man of my word when possible and honestly some people still thought I misled a little. I do think next time I will use PVA etc and just refer people back to this.
I think you can use pva and sand. But any kind of like gap filling putty would be okay, joint compound, or anything, mayve even thick plaster of paris.
Thanks and I ended up finding both Pva and some Spackle. I had to use hot glue though, on a scale of 1-10 how painful was the superglue. Love you’re vids btw.
Well, I used some slower methods for video, pva and a hot glue gun would have been way quicker, but I reckon less than 2 hours working time. Hard to remember so much, sorry :)
The key thing for me is to make it firmer with the filler....and during that it can feel very much like it is going to disintigrate but when it all dires, it's more than fine! Thanks :)

Where can we find the template you had I loved them cut some out for my lgs but we need more and can't find my files I got at one point on patreon?
Post is 3 years old and still helping people. Well done.

Yes! It's great to have you back crafting as well. Hope you and family are well :)

My pleasure and good luck crafting
Saved enough of Amazon boxes to start my build thank you
Good looking, serviceable terrain for cheap/free. Doesn't get much better than that. Cheers!
Yes indeed, that's sort of my whole goal on the channel! Thank you.
Love the resourcefulness and creativity! Great job!
Thanks :)
Awesome video! Just made my own today after finding out how much scenery bloody costs! Absolute legend thank you
Glad it helped!
Looking great ! Also your minis look super pretty !
Thank you, I am not a great painter and I spent way too long on about 10 space marines! lol
Your video editing is getting better! Great as always.
Thank you :)
A fantastic little build, earned a sub
Broke ass uni student getting into warhammer, videos like this really help out ! Your channel is great man!
Thank you and good luck with crafting and UNI :)
Nice, straightforward, inexpensive build. I really enjoy stuff like this. Nice one, Jay
Thanks man, it's like right in my wheelhouse I guess! Thanks :)
I think this is the easiest for the best results.
I happen to have an open bag of cement. That should texture nicely.
Ferb, I know what we’re doing today!
this is genius but simple love it. Thanks
Thank you
Dude this is great thank you so much
Cheap terrain videos are such great value! 😆
Thank you :)
this deserves SOOOOOOOOOOO many more views!
Hehe thank you

Very cool , because I have everything all ready

Awesome idea with the filler, your videos are really getting better!
Thanks, I don't think I am the first to put filler on card but I prefer the look over pva and sand myself :)
BRILLIANT !
Thank you, and love your star Trek profile pic, looks TOS which I do love!
Immediately after starting the video, " THE DOG CHEWED ON WHAT!?!?" 🤣
as a new warhammer player, this terrain tutorial will help me a lot. thanks
Great project and looks good for free nice one mate.
I am really happy with the result. I appreciate not everyone wil lhave two shades of grey but it was fun to mess about a bit. Thanks :)
Great job
Thank you :)

We will blame youtube! But thank you and welcome :)
Another great video. It shows you don't need loads of £££ to have pretty decent terrain on your table 👍
For sure, that's really the end goal, it's great if you can spend lots and get all the fancy stuff but no harm in super cheap if that's what you need :)
Great! O guess It works with foam board too.
why don't you have more subs. ur amazing!
I am having a bit of a break right now :)

I don't want to clickbait or anything so had to follow through on the idea! Sprue and stuff would make great rubble :) Thanks.
@@TerrainMadeEasy Well, I think you could have possibly sneaked in some PVA without that leading to too many accusations. Haha.
@@edevans5991 hehe I try to be a man of my word when possible and honestly some people still thought I misled a little. I do think next time I will use PVA etc and just refer people back to this.
I’m currently building one but I don’t have any filler Anything you recommend as a substitute

@@thenickgross1485 I would 100% suggest hot glue! Super glue and glue stick was terrible and ultimately wasteful! Thank you :)
Thank you for this tutorial but I could only finish the ending with one hand because I had a hand accident involving a saw
@@thenickgross1485 oo damn, hope everything is recoverable (I mean the hand!)
How well does this last in time?
What do you mix with gray to fill the walls? ty
The templates you have linked to, are not the same as in the video.
Nice
Thank you very kindly :)
That's some slick work! How long did it take you, in total?
Well, I used some slower methods for video, pva and a hot glue gun would have been way quicker, but I reckon less than 2 hours working time. Hard to remember so much, sorry :)
@@TerrainMadeEasy I'm unemployed so time is the one thing I have plenty of, haha.
@@Wolfogre If you don't have a hot glue gun, I would at least get a £1 bottle of pva! With that you will have an easier time. Good luck :)
ISWTG you do New World videos
👏👏👏
Noob question: is filler the stuff that's used on gyprock/drywall?
Often called spackle or pre mixed joint compoound, it's basically ised to fill in holes on walls. Hope that helps!
GOOD VIDEO. I bet you were never so excited to get back to your glue gun.
Hehe for sure, it feels like such a luxury now!
That looks nice. Cardboard terrain gets an unfair bad rep.
The key thing for me is to make it firmer with the filler....and during that it can feel very much like it is going to disintigrate but when it all dires, it's more than fine! Thanks :)
Great effort 👏👏😀🌈🇭🇲👏👏👏
Anyone else wondering how to his dog got a knife
You know, I never asked, it was my wife's dog before I got with my wife.
