Anna is playing to the time period. She's supposed to be reserved and internal. It's a brave choice in this day and age to not convey the contemporary style of acting. Myself and several others can immediately respect Anna because her portrayal is that of a young woman from the 1800's and yet we see so much of her in ourselves. It doesn't mean she lacks emotion. It's subtle delivery but is perfectly in service of the story.
Oh, my goodness, this is the most perfect Don Juan scene I've ever seen! Anna is so perfect - her reactions are spot-on; I just love how at the beginning of Aminta's solo Christine has slipped out of character, but then gathers herself and gets back into character as Aminta - it's so realistic; the way she screams, "No!" when she discovers it's the Phantom - has anyone else done that? I know I would scream, "No!" if I'd just discovered that; and her reaction to the Phantom's 'proposal', we might call it. Well, everything, really. And Marcus was great, too - his reactions I really loved as well. The only thing that could have been better was if he used the Italian accent like Ramin did at PotO 25 (otherwise it's a bit obvious it's not Piangi!). But that's one tiny little thing. Everything else was so darn PERFECT! And that was by far the most dramatic unmasking I've ever seen - which is how it should be. LOVE IT TO PIECES!

Each to there own opinion but as I have said before I am a huge fan of Anna. For me she brings the whole package, she acts in the style of the time period whilst being an amazing singer :) Marcus is also wonderful as the phantom. Anna forever :) over and out

Jade Saunders Long time no see. Hehe! I had a feeling it would be digital since she is an independent artist. Nowadays, only mainstream singers have the luxury of releasing a CD and MP3 copy. I must say I am quite surprised by her selection. The majority of these must be nostalgia choices from childhood or teen years. Are you familiar at all (besides LND) with any of these songs? I confess I really am not. Though, this could be a great introduction for me on this music. :)

Hey, Lovelies. I really like so much Marcus, 6:24 - 6:40, I just loved his interpretation. He is so adorable! I just love him as Phantom! and her as Christine! I really think every singer / actor has its unique way of interpreting(and I respect that, because each actor give to us his best and they give life to the character! And it is impossible to compare one with the other, because each one is unique!) And that makes the show even better. I really love Anna and Marcus! Favorites yes, but none is better than the other. When The Phantom's hood accidentally came prematurely, my mum could hear me laughing from the other room. Also, really glad I watched this. I've wanted to see one of Marcus Lovett's performances ever since he gave that video tour of Her Majesty's Theatre.
Ms.Perfection is long overdue for her proper recognition from world wide audiences. Someone who is able to pull strings in show business needs to get their backside in gear and start offering her juicy roles. She's already done her part by proving she's an authentic triple threat.

Does Christine know it's the Phantom singing with her the whole time, or does the only figure it out when she says "no!" Thanks for anyone knowledgeable who is willing to explain 😃

However they surround the opera house on the inside all through out with the authorities expecting the Phantom to appear in his usual spot in Box 5. Christine as Anita is the pawn to draw him out. What they never expected was for him to kill Piangi (who was supposed to singing as Don Juan) and take over the role. As Christine is singing, his touch at 3:00 is when it registers for her this is the man she dreads the most. And he has now become apart of this highly erotic scene in the opera with her. She tries to keep her composure and remain in character. But on the inside, she shivers in terror. She knows how brilliant and dangerous he is. But she plays along with Raoul's plan trusting he will find a way to figure this out while she continues to play to the audience. She pretty much cracks under the pressure at 4:57 when she attempts to flee from his possessive grasp. I hope this helps. :)
Anna O'Byrrne is great, but Marcus Lovett, dude, that's supposed to be an E4, not a D#4. You can't just sing whatever notes you want; the most you can do is transpose something to another octave or key, and that is sometimes frowned upon.
Loved Anna in this scene but Marcus’s vocals weren’t great here. His “Anywhere you go...” was shouted rather than sang. It just didn’t resonate with me as an impassioned plea to the women he loved.
The difference between Sierra and Anna is that Anna looks shier than Sierra. While Sierra shows lots of shades of Christine's personality, it seems as if Anna is holding back her feelings and her way of living the role. She could be great if only she'd try to not look worry all through the prerformance. I admit Anna's voice suits the most the role but Sierra has the whole package. I prefer her acting becuse she can connect immediately to the audience . In my opinion, it does not happen with Anna.
Well I think Anna. Is better than Sierra because Anna is just perfect for the role. If you remember Christine is a bit shy and worried so Anna is portraying her perfectly

Probably not the best Phantom rendition of the All I ask of you reprise. He had some vocal issues and it sounded more like he was shouting.
