    AMAZING attention to details......you are wired like me, I think (I can hear myself narrating these tours you do, LOL!). You even point some things out I may have missed (Antique Cig machine?, PEZ dispenser display?)....I may go back to Cosmo sometime in my future visits to Bellagio/Aria just to walk some of those areas you did --assuming they don't remodel, due to Covid and having to rethink how 'food' outlets serve their guests..(i.e- I'm not so sure buffets will ever return!)...Appreciate these vids very much, helps me get my 'LV walk/tours' in...as I have not been able to visit as much as I used to since March 2020 (have only been back twice)...

    I walk the strip early morning every day I am there (usually twice per year). I agree that the Paris/Bellagio area is the best part and breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi is a must.

    WOW Shawn, you've outdone yourself in my humble opinion. LOL Your narrative trough those exquisite properties was fantastic. Your first person stories and photos/videos from when you and your family were there interspersed with facts and data about casino ownership, failed projects, views, perspectives and again your nice use of light and angles are making you one of my favorite TH-camrs. :-) I haven't spent much time at all in Aria and none in Cosmo but I surely will on my next visit. I've heard that they were both heavily into art and I really appreciate your videos of the chandelier, elevator, food court, Starbucks but I have to disagree on the Aria Buffet. I had a great brunch there on my last visit. That was one of the highlights of that trip.
    So I can't wait to see what you post next as I so thoroughly watching your videos and listening to your comments.
    Keep up the good work.

    Thanks for the nice tour but Whew! --- they surely do need HIGH prices and lots of willing, rich people to keep that kind of decadent luxury going. The owners must be uneasy these days with Covid-19...and the unhappy socialists burning down American cities. Note at 10:42 -- "opened in December 2010, cost 3.9 Billion dollars to build, sold in 2014 to Blackstone for 1.73 Billion dollars."

    • @Milestomemories

      Yup I can definitely make a case for a few others but I think too to bottom Cosmo has it all plus I like that you don’t have to walk 5 miles everywhere. Wynn and Venetian are still very high up for me though and Aria probably just below those.

    You'll find me on that 2nd level area if I needed to grab a bite to eat, cuz I'm a casual kind of tourist LOL!. Nice insights on the pool area, I had never ventured up there before (usu I'm just passing thru Cosmo from Bellagio on my way to tour Aria), esp. at Christmastime..FYI- Not sure if ownership/policy makers changed, when Cosmo FIRST opened and I toured at 'Holiday' season, there was very little if ANY holiday decor! Maybe not a fan of the season (the owners)?-and not willing to put out the expense.. Also- As you did this fantastic view of the Chandelier centerpiece, I can't help but think Derek Stevens (maybe?) got some ideas, with where Vegas VIckie now is....similar 3 story view, just different things to look at...

SImilar museums of historical gaming stuff are in scattered places, particularly in Reno area...if you have a chance to video-document Reno/Carson City...which also has gone through changes (struggles to survive, imho)...Latest permanent closure, Harrah's Reno..who would have thought...?

The pool area was great and all the workers at the hotel and casino kept everything sanitized and clean. They all did a great job keeping everyone safe. I missed not having shows and buffets but there is still much to do and many great places to eat.

    Just my 2 cents, but...we found the Aria buffet to be very good at breakfast...especially if you can get a table by the windows. I have been to las Vegas numerous times. Las Vegas looks so empty. The casinos must be losing millions. I don't think las Vegas will ever be the same. I haven't go to Vegas because of the resort fees. The resort fee are terrible 45.00 a day and also getting charged for parking.

    What is unique about the Cosmo? Hotels like that are virtually in every city in America sans the casino part

    • @Milestomemories
      @Milestomemories  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I travel pretty extensively and cannot argue that modern chic hotels with art installations are everywhere. I guess what makes Cosmo unique is its size. First, it has over 3,000 rooms and because of its small footprint is very close to the Strip. You also have a lot more of the art and interesting stuff than say a boutique hotel in Manhattan.
      But to be honest this is a Vegas tour and I think the best comparisons are to other Vegas hotels. In that way it stands out not only for the decor and atmosphere, but the rooms and experience. When compared to other large Vegas hotels (thousands of rooms) it simply stands above in service, ambience and quality. I would argue Wynn is up there too but it caters to a different demographic.
      So while I generally love hotels like this in other cities and am not arguing this is markedly different, it is unique because of its size and location plus it delivers in a way none of its competitors do. Maybe I should say it like this. It's the least Vegas like of the Vegas mega resorts and I like that.
