i am no warcrafter (i've played it 15 years ago for a few weeks and never played anymore. But i loved it). And the competition and challenge is what i(we?) love to see. Just my few thoughts. tldr: i love: -1 v 1 vs top players -1 v 1 fun and/or difficult challenges -solo ffa(quick 3 hour long ones before bed lol)
It's always a delight seeing Grubs conceptualize and dissect exactly what is happening in a game of wc3 😊 It's also a delight to see Grubs fearing for his life when inanimate objects, stop being inanimate objects😊
This sounds weird to realise just now after having played this game for so long back when it released... but I only just realised that the Blademaster is Japanese and somehow that feels more strange than all of the Trolls being Jamaican.
Thanks for the videos. I tried a tactic, but i'm too noob to make it work. I want to never let the other guy do an expo... keep yourself in tier 1 at first, to save 350 Gold to have a better early army. And bully the opponent outside of his base. So goal is just to deny him any second expo with your supperior army. Then, when you and the opponent have 0 Goldmine --> win with your better army. You can make some fake base in the enemy potentiel mines zone --> With 1 shop, 2 tower. But you can't have a second expo. You want to keep the energy to have 3-4 more units to bully the ennemi, instead of a second expo. Like with Blademaster --> No need Wind Walk, just lvl3 mirror image for a +60% damage (20% each mirror)... and a big confusion each time you mirror image. You want to keep fighting, not doing some quick attacks with Wind Walk. So Mirror Image would be a more bruiser build.
The issue with trying to do this, is your opponent may go with summon heroes like AM or CL, so your better army is just about even with them. So if you went blade first, there is pretty much no chance to stopping your opponent's expo.
Hmm i think it's better than you think : 🟠I just tested 🪞lvl2 Mirror Image🪞 VS lvl2 🐺Wolf Summon🐺 --> They die at the same time... so blademaster is literaly a summon hero that makes him more bulky. Lvl3 Wolf VS lvl3 Images --> 1 Wolf live with 30%HP 🟢far Seer 5 VS Blademaster 5 --> Duel of Auto-Attacks --> The Blademaster win with 60%HP left... (no item), no CRIT as they don't work on allies. Then you have Grunts --> the best 1v1 starting unit by cost, of all races. --> Coupled with Blademaster --> And you stand your ground on the enemy Gold Mines, like no other heroes. 🔵lvl2 Mirror Image VS Far Seer Far Seer live with 10%HP --> Mirror Image is just awesome Lvl3Mirror --> Mirror win with 1 image left 🔵lvl2 Wolf VS Blademaster 4 Blademaster survive with 70%HP.... only 30% vs lvl3Wolf 🔵lvl1 Wolf VS 1 grunt 0 upgrade the 2 wolf and grunt dies at the same time. So 1 more grunt is worth 2 wolf summons lvl1. 🟣 Lvl5 Blademaster + 3 images --- VS --- Lvl5 Far-Seer + 2big Wolf --> Focus each hero --> They die at the same time. But the Blademaster Crit lvl 2 don't work when attacking allies. So Blademaster would win by like 25% HP But yeah, Far-Seer is not bad at duelling. 🟢 1 Wolf lvl3, is worth 1 Grunt 1/1 So you summon "2 grunts" each time your summon your 2 wolf 🟣 Lvl5 Blade VS 3 Grunt 0 upgrade --> 1 grunt is alive... surely 0 if Crit work on allies. So Blade A.A = 3 Grunt 🟣 Lvl5 Far-Sear VS 2 Grunt 0 upgrade --> 1 grunt is alive with 80%life --> So Far-Sear is worth 1.5 Grunt --> Then you add their spells.... knowing each Summon spell is worth quite the same ---> What is left is CRITS for Blademaster VS Chain Lightning to Far-Sear... knowing Chain-Lightning will give you less mana for summons, but will add a better burst with Summon+Lightning on a quick fight. Or 3x Mirror Images in a long fight. --> The total is quite the same for the spells. But now you just have a Blademaster with Auto-Attack/Survivability worth 2 Far-Sear --> So it's the same as saying : Do you want 2 grunts or 1 Headhunter? --> If you want 2 grunts --> You admit Blademaster is better in paper ^^
@@pausesmana5531 It's a long way to creep your hero to level 3, especially blademaster, you just can't stop a Human or Undead tier 1 expo with blade. I guess you'll find out what I mean when you play a few more games against early expo human or undead.
Also do you know the mirror image gets damaged by any dispel? Obviously at higher level blade is definitely better than far seer. But you pretty much sacrifice early game pressure if you went for blade. That's why pro players like Lyn pretty much always go for Far Seer in Orc vs Human matchup, because you need to keep up the early pressure to have a chance against Human. Blade is fine versus other races though, still mirror image is problematic because pretty much everyone got decent dispel.
Grubby this matchup made ma crave first hero matchup tierlist..perhaps sectioned into 5 videos for each race and tavern. Of course that 24²-24 matchups but it would be fun xD In any case DH vs BM is definitely the rank 1 matchup
In Bronze League Heroes the players are so wild, it's hard to guess who'll win, so you never know. However In high level games like last one it's not obvious to see why one's losing, so you never know.
Come on, we all know that Bober taught you to punch the puny elf tree with strong orc axe, don't just go around saying that you've invented it in some prehistorical times

Whadaya mean what kind of accent this is? It's a Troll accent! I swear Ja makin' me crazy.
Thank you for the breakdown analysis, great content Grubby! Many of us are watching and are oblivious to the gg.
Grubby explaining the decision making and observations that he made on the first game is crazy considering everything is happening in quick succession

🔵lvl2 Mirror Image VS Far Seer
Far Seer live with 10%HP --> Mirror Image is just awesome
Lvl3Mirror --> Mirror win with 1 image left
🔵lvl2 Wolf VS Blademaster 4
Blademaster survive with 70%HP.... only 30% vs lvl3Wolf
🔵lvl1 Wolf VS 1 grunt 0 upgrade
the 2 wolf and grunt dies at the same time. So 1 more grunt is worth 2 wolf summons lvl1.
🟣 Lvl5 Blademaster + 3 images --- VS --- Lvl5 Far-Seer + 2big Wolf --> Focus each hero

Fun fact: The Demon Hunter, a blindfolded hero, is somehow affected by Ultravision
Why would Ultra Vision be dependant on eyes? It's a smell buff

Does Runed Bracers reduce Frost Arrow damage or does the bonus damage still count as physical?
Doesn't reduce. You're correct the bonus damage is physical
I just had a dumb idea - what happens if O buys tiny great hall and gives the item to a teammate (or opponent)?
Why did they buff agi/str items but not the intel items ?
WHY the video feels laggy whjen i watch it ? is it in game lag or video lag :D?

yes on wc3 champions
let this play while making coffee. cheers all

Not even close. Keeper 3 will kill everything without dispell. And no way to cancel rejuv so bears and heroes will never die.
Can you plz upload the gameplay of empire of the undergrowth? ❤
God damn it, I was doing something, but now I have to see this

DH is the best hero in the game. period.
