The only thing I don't understand is why it has taken so long to replace him.
The one line answer to this is 'mattia binnoto'.....all the weird fellows were in the track team during his time.... inaki reuda, Laurent meikes, Xavi Marcos etc...
Xavi was still given time to improve....which he did to a little extent...but he simply does not suit in a role of race engineer
Also, he was the last guy of binnoto s team...

They should have got rid of Xavier Marcos Padros long ago. The guy never even lifted his finger once: 1) like everyone else have mentioned all he says is "we are checking" and 2) What do you think of Plan B, etc? He never advised Charles not even once. Basically, strategy wise was a simple case of "Charles, just do whatever you feel like OK".

The main concern should be....If Bryan bozzi would be able comunicate with Charles flawlessly and with intelligence.... because Xavi had a bit of language barrier...
We need to see whether it turns out to be another case of 'we are checking' and saying 'question' after asking a question...
