To all the Indians in the comment section: firstly thank you for chiming in.
Secondly, there are A LOT of intellectuals in Pakistan but due to the political climate they avoid expressing themselves openly because even to this day the repercussions could be lethal. A lot of Pakistanis who live abroad recognize the issues and are willing to talk about it. The illiterate but more vocal majority who has been politicizing every aspect of a Pakistanis life is sadly still very powerful. It will take some time to undo what Zia Ul Haq did. I suggest all Indian folks to indulge in meaningful discussions with Pakistanis abroad and you will realize we are just like you.

Hello Muzammil, reside in the US for last 30 years and have been to many countries in the world to study their culture and history. I am also quite well read.
I watched your program on TH-cam. The program was very good, however, I see an intrinsic bias in your arguments. I admire that you have read German and Greek philosophers in detail though you are completely devoid of what Muslim philosophers have contributed to the society and how Muslim societies existed. I agree with most of your points regarding Pakistan and use of religion for political gains though it should not lead to reactive approach. I consider Secularism as a reactive outcome against religion.
There are still very few intelligent and intellectual religious people left in Pakistan. I highly recommend that you visit Al Nadwa Library in Chattar Park and meet Muftī Saeed Khan. I have learned German and Greek philosophy from him besides self reading a lot of books of Muslim philosophers. The library is located near Islamabad and one must look at this gem of a place.

Quite impressive !! I am aware of Muzammil’s quality of intellectual discourse. I am impressed by the focus and incisive queries from the audience … it’s unfortunate that integration of youth in our subcontinent has so many obstacles ..
