Few mega DCs are coming up in JB soon n likely with lower rent which may attract KDC's clients to relocate n potential clients. KDC will than has less power to ask for higher rent revision. What is your views.
Potential clients maybe. But it’s not so easy to relocate DC. It involves a lot of VERY EXTENSIVE planning and VERY HIGH COST. So in the short run it may not yet impact KDC.
Kindly advise. I am offered 344 lots and wish to apply for 2,000 lots. Do I need to make two separate applications as follows: a) 344 and 1656 or b) 300 and 1700? Thank you
Tks for your vid. I hv 15 lots of Keppel DC reit of ordinary shares. I hv a few questions: 1) I was given 1290 shares. According to your vid, so either I subscribe 1200 or 1300? 2) Will the ordinary shares diluted after the pref shares are issued? 3) This the first time a pref share is issued to me and I’m a noob. If I were to buy the pref share and sell in future, I must distinguish between the two to sell right? Will it be two different counter? Thank you
1) If it's oversubscribed, likely you will only get your fair share of 1290 shares which gives you odd lot. You can try to round up, but it's not guaranteed. 2) Non-participating unitholders may experience dilution of their ownership percentage. 3) It will be the same counter. My first preferential offering was 5 years ago, and I didn't round up to a whole lot size, and I ended up with odd lot. I am taking this opportunity to correct this to make it a whole lot, so I don't have the hassle of selling the odd lot in the future. Haha
@@sydralz Tks so much for your reply. Appreciated. Sorry for a further 2 more questions 1) For academy, say I subscribed just 100 preference shares. That means I will automatically treated as an overall preference share holder even I am originally holder of 15,000 ordinary shares? This seems like a no brainer its prudent to get the preference shares as I understand the dividend though fixed is almost always more than ordinary shares. 2) To avoid odd lots, would it be better that I subscribe 1200 instead of 1290? Though I may also ended up 1990 if its oversubscribe. Is that correct? Thank you once again
@@silverpassion3588 Don't really get your first question. For your other question, I believe the 1290 allotted to you is guaranteed. Oversubscription is not a sure thing as not every shareholder will exercise their rights. You can try for 1300, since it's just an additional 10 shares. Not sure the exact allotment process for excess rights, but I read somewhere that there is a preference given to rounding of odd lots.
@@sydralz Hi, Ok I'm clear about q2 as per your reply Back to Q1, you mentioned in first reply that there will be only one counter instead of one counter for ordinary shares and another separate counter for preference shares. So say I got 1290 preference shares. Currently I hv 15,000 ordinary shares. If I were to subscribe means in total I hv 16,290 shares just under one counter? And I will be treated as a preference share holder and enjoy better and earlier dividends payout for 16290 shares? Hope my question make sense. Tks
@ Preferential offering simply means an offering given to existing shareholders before it is offered to the general public. This allows shareholders to purchase additional shares at a discounted price, giving them the opportunity to maintain or increase their ownership stake in the company. In the case of Keppel DC, the offered price is at 2.03, where the last close price is at 2.20, a discount of 7+%. Whatever shares allotted to you will be converted to ordinary shares together with those you already hold, under one counter, AJBU. You don’t get preference shares.
Would like to hear your view on SUNCTEC REITS thank you

I think Keppel Ltd is the better choice. Would you recommend buying it quickly or waiting for a better price?
Data centers are great business models in the Age of AI.
Kindly advise.

How is $2.03 being justified? esp Even Singtel and Nvida are building Data Center out from SG.
DPU projected to grow 11.1% but units increase by 17%? Given the "backend" nature of the business, I would prefer if they expand in the upcoming SEZ.
DPU growth is after the new units were issued.
Buy the sponsor? Kep DC gives about 4.2% yield. Keppel gives about 5.1% and is not so affected by the interest rates
Kep DC is overvalued yes. But for unit holders subscribing makes sense to keep the percentage ownership similar
How do i sell the pref shares eventually if I subscribed? Is it added to my common shares and can be sold together in one transaction?
