data centre tenants is limited to a few users only, unlike office tenants, so it is difficult to find replacement

a lot of people fall for the trap of data centre reits in sg. why pay for an expensive data centre in sg, when another data centre overseas can fulfil the same. unlike malls offices etc.

Malaysia is still a country with unstable power outage. DC will avoid setting up there.

Those on leverage ganna margin calls. It is a domino effect. Don't borrow money to buy something you can't own and control. Warren Buffett said "Be fearful when others are greedy, be greedy when others are fearful". The only sale that people run out of the store is a stock market sale. I believe if you can hold, in the long term the reits/business trusts will recover and soar.

is now an opportunity to buy?

    Very good thanks.
The bank analysts are bizarre - only a couple of quarters ago, this reit was a 'strong buy', now it's a 'sell'.....So all these issues (including higher finance costs....!!) only became apparent now??
But many reits are suffering ATM - reits such as Lendlease, Suntec, Sasseur etc etc are falling daily like they are about to collapse. Seems investors now believe that much of the SGX listed reit sector is largely uninvestible, no matter where the underlying assets are located. Times change...........

The stock performance of Neo Telemedia is dismal. Wonder how rigorous was the assessment carried out by KDC in scrutinising its tenants esp a core tenant leasing 3 properties from them?

Keppel DC is the first stock that I invested for my investment journey. It dropped ever since I bought it. No newbie luck. Then DCA until it takes up more than 50% of my initial capital. I have stopped DCA cause it's a falling knife. Average 2.38 per share (was 2.66 per share). Thank you for sharing such a timely and detailed analysis. Lendlease also another stock which makes me lost $$$😓

Such a great first step you took. It's a long journey. I made the same mistake when my stocks went down and ended up owning too much of some tickers.
Buy when you want to own more, and set limits on how much you want to own. Dont buy only because price has fallen. 50% of your portfolio in one REIT is not healthy but I'm sure you will recover and learn from this.

DCA is not a good strategy when the market goes down. Was burned by starhub in the past. So at some point, you would need to cut losses due to poor fundamentals of the stock.

digest it with a pinch of salt.
REITs have no future, the cost of running REIT is going to increase when borrowing interest rate high. And yet REITs need to invest so much in order to stay relevant, so what they are going to do....introduce right issue. Which later dilute the main REITs share value. To top of the issue asian directors/ceo do not want to do share buy back, resulted small investor burnt.
