    Whoa, that's the Pilot Knob in the background! It certainly brings back fond memories. Great job with the chain adjustment. Within a quarter of an inch, not bad. That's a nice set up you have there Jurgen. Safe travels to you and Sue.

      Yes you guys were so gracious to meet up with me there. That park has been through some changes since then and deserves some updated videos. The visitor center and parking lot are all new. I’m hoping that we can do some traveling before long. Thanks again for the meetup and your support. I appreciate you both so much. Take care my friend.

    Nice Tahoe, Jurgen! Good job levelling everything up! Trev just put a new hitch on our truck to bring the ball up higher so the trailer rides level. Now when we do a quick overnight stop at a Walmart the trailer is pretty much level as long as the ground is!

      Thanks! Yes, it helps to run level to the road. Do you use a weight distribution hitch? Thanks for watching. Safe travels my friend.

      @@JurgensJourneys Nope, just a regular trailer hitch. Our truck is a 4x4 3500 Dodge diesel. The trailer has high clearance and the old ball mount wasn’t high enough, so Trev found a new one that can be flipped over to bring up the trailer to level it out. Worked great!

      @@HoneyandMe Oh yeah, a 3500 is a beast. Good going!

    2 inch difference not to bad.Good idea on the drop with the chain. Another good video pal

      Hey, Thanks a lot! Yes, the bumper at the front is 2 inches lower than the back, WITHOUT the trailer hooked to it. My goal was to keep the 2" difference WITH the trailer hooked up, and that came out just right. I appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment. Take care!

    Hey I think I have that hill back there in the background. lol Seems like you may have been there. Very well done. Looks like you got it very close and should be good to go. I agree on the trucks. There is so much to learn with all the new technology. Glad you are enjoying the Tahoe. Great info buddy.

      For sure, fore sure! It was great meeting you there in person. Oh yeah that Tahoe seems to handle the trailer very well, and I do enjoy learning new things, but young guys like you catch on a lot quicker to all this new stuff. I do appreciate your support, and hope we can meet up again some time. Take care buddy!

    This is a great quality video and I enjoyed it so much! We also recently bought a Tahoe for the towing capacity and love it so far. Does the auto leveling throw you off at all? Do you disable it when setting up the WDH?

    • @JurgensJourneys
      @JurgensJourneys  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your question, but I don’t have the auto leveling on mine, so I can’t answer that. I would think it should be on when setting it up, but you better ask someone else. Anyway, thanks for your support.

    Just curious about your Tahoe. We are looking at a Tahoe for a Winnebago Micro MInnie 2108TB. Your Tahoe does not have air leveling suspension...and appears to not need it. This is only available onthe Z71 or High Country. Did you look at the sir suspension option?

    • @JurgensJourneys
      @JurgensJourneys  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, I figured that was just something that might go bad eventually. Besides, my trailer is not too heavy.

    So with the air ride, it's really just trial and error?

      I can’t say. Mine doesn’t have air ride. Thanks for your support.

    Hello, I have a 2016 Tahoe and a 23' Coleman Lantern that riding too high, despite my adjustable drop hitch being in its lowest position. What brand/model of hitch do you have? It is quite a bit longer than mine and may solve my issue. Thanks!

      Thanks for your comment/question. I think mine is an old, 1991 Reese Hitch that I bought for my first camper. I went to a local trailer dealer who fixed me up with a much lower drop. I can't tell you off hand how much lower, but I'd say that you might be able to let a trailer dealer fit you with the drop that you need. My previous (part 1) video shows both the old and the new one, if I'm not mistaken. I don't know if that will be of any more help to you. The main thing is to find a drop that has EXACTLY the same hole spacing and shape. I could not find one on line and had to show it to a pro before I got exactly what I needed. Good luck with yours and safe journeys!
