Is it just me or are almost all of us here like-minded such that we all want a photography centric camera (Leica Q type ICL), jealous that Panasonic is giving that body to vloggers instead (who don't "deserve" it :)). I mean clearly we outnumber those happy with the features 10-to-1 easily. Or maybe I am just projecting my wishes. (EVF, mechanical shutter, proper hot shoe for off camera flash, flip up screen). With all that said, I am still thankful for them making such a camera at all. And we probably have to thank Fuji for it :)

Maybe those vloggers does not have any choices from all the different manufacturs so the camera that gets out they need to buy. Instead photographers can also buy used cameras that does not get the manufacturers any revenue after years that the market went down from 120 million uinits a year to 8 million unit a year. If you do video no used camera can do 4k 60 p uncropped. Only new so revenue for the manufacturers.

brilliant comment! I agree they should have just had a Tilt screen and all this crap about LUTs - well at least I wont have to buy one now.😂 - may as well stay with my Sigma FP with its modular EVF, CinemaDNG, SSD, etc.

This S9 a new approach for sure. Aimed at Smartphone converters. I hope that we will see in 2025 something similar small with a viewfinder, tilting screen and mechanical shutter.
If they release an SX9 later in the year with an EVF and mechanical shutter then I'll be attracted to this range of cameras. I like the look of the small 18-40mm kit that would be a nice package.
At the Panasonic conference they mentioned the Lumix Lab app, but where is it? I couldn't find it on the Panasonic portal or even on the Apple Store.
It is NOT available in play store or app store YET. Coming soon. Will available next month when the camera is available for everyone in the shops.
Andrea, when do you get new infos about the S1 II?
Hoping that there's an update soon to bring Lab and full LUT support to existing cameras. I have to imagine they're planning on doing that, be really dumb not to.
Also that 26mm f8 is a perfect zone focus lens. I think it'd be a blast for street.

@@NeonShores You don't have to bake in colour to do that. The photo's have to pass through your phone to share.
You can apply LUT's there and not be stuck with one the camera baked in when you took it.
With video, you'll be stuck with footage you can't match to other video that used another LUT.
They should have just made a budget leica Q which is what the x100v was when it got hyped

@@chinitopinoy1726It means that if you fold the screen out to the side of the camera you can tilt it in any orientation you want. If you’re asking if the camera has a tilt and flip mechanism as seen on some much more expensive cameras, the answer I believe is “no”.

Jesus christ the 26 f8 is real huh, for getting the "smartphone look" i presume.
Honestly, it's an ideal street photography lens. Most traditional street photographers shoot at f8 or f11.
I'd bash the lens if it wasn't free. But it is pretty compact and it makes sense that the whole point was to make the camera as close to pocketable as possible. But at the same time anyone serious is going to replace the lens right away with a slightly bigger F4 or F2.8 version when it becomes available.
