CLOUDS REST FROM THE VALLEY. The perfect Yosemite day.

Clouds Rest from Yosemite Valley is a perfect day. Going up the Mist Trail passing Vernal and Nevada Falls on your way to one of the best views in Yosemite is an amazing one or two day hike. Clouds Rest is 1,000 feet above Half Dome and offers sublime views. Coming down the John Muir Trail gives even more variety on the way down. I would highly recommend this hike to get a great feel for the beauty of Yosemite National Park

Unfortunately I don't. I did it once many years ago and it is also beautiful and much easier than from the valley.

Clouds Rest round trip took me about 7 hours running the downhills mostly.
