That type of hose clamp is the best since it maintains proper clamping force under all temperature conditions.

My cousins wife had one of those in the late nineties or early 2 thousands and she hit something that knocked a hole in her oil filter. She didn’t make it very far and the engine was done.
There’s a reason why you don’t see those Plymouth’s anymore!

I like it! I used to just top off and top off and top off now i just set it and go clean up while it bleeds.
Man the owner of that car really have a lot of trouble with is car...but lucky him you are always there to fix it for him...good job
Fill funnel is awesome, way better than having to drag out the compressor and putting a vacuum on the cooling system

Wow it’s beautiful there.
I would have done the thermostat too it overheated so it might be stuck their cheap and 3 to 4 bolts . Easy to replace. Prevents the issues of them coming back in 5 days upset.

Yeah. It’s easy to think what you can do is easy. But I get humbled anytime my internet browser setting get reset haha. Not to mention any real kind of computer issue. They probably say the same thing about me when I take my computer in haha. 😂

Hey Ernest any time I have a busted hose empty / broken radiator Where the system was almost if not completely empty I top off the coolant start the car and put the heat on hot and full blast . This will make the coolant suck down faster and the air flushed out faster . The heat will go cold to warm if there is air trapped, so rev up the rpm,s to 2000 3000. That helps get the air out . Hope this helps .. great video 👍

If enough coolant is lost, the transmission fluid cooler is exposed,
maybe it's fluid superheated? I'm not sure how much damage would be caused
by a non-functional cooler, or cause clutch pack slippage? Many systems
will code an engine shutdown if overheated. I'd definitely scan & check
trans fluid quality & level when running, warm/in gear as per Dipstick.

Burned antifreeze turns into an insulator. Gummed up brushes.
+300℉ Ethylene Glycol will wash out bearing grease.
Plymouth engineers knew well about cascade failure.
That looks exactly like the driver's ed car we had in high school
Same car is a Dodge Neon. Took an engine out of a Neon and put in his Breeze a few years ago. His original engine had 200,000 miles and it had a bad oil leak, so bad he ran it out of oil and seized it up!

I don't understand why people replace the factory hose clamp with worm gear clamps. Personally I like the factory constant tension clamps, no need to worry about the clamp loosening up as the hose heat cycles. Worm gear hose clamps ALWAYS begin to leak and need retightening...

Not weird at all. Great heat, huge pressure- suddenly burst hose,
imagine the pressure differential of the coolant?
"Coolant" is only 50% water. Under 10-12 psi average engine,
Coolant easily gets +325℉ when suddenly decompressed. *BANG* goes
the hose, and most of coolant explosively leaves the system. Without
any media, the thermostat snaps closed; that's why
Bubbles maybe head gasket ?

All the cooling issues this thing had, that head gasket isn't much longer for this world, can't help but wonder if a head gasket caused the excess pressure to pop the rad hose that wide
It's possible, that would explain the occasional bubble, but the cap prevents excess pressure, assuming of course it is functioning correctly, so there wouldn't be excess pressure from a blown head gasket.
@@dustintunis9347 i used to race a 95 Plymouth neon in the 4-cylinder division, i was getting on the gas coming out of a turn, the engine started missing REAL bad, smoked out the entire track, and blew both tanks off the radiator, teardown revealed that the head gasket fire ring on #2 cylinder was blown into the coolant passage. I also currently have a 1984 Pontiac Bonneville with the 231/3.8 V6, and it has a blown head gasket on #1 cylinder, it will build enough pressure in the cooling system to pop the heater hoses, but gradually, not instantly. if you let that engine sit for 3+ days, there will be half a teaspoon of coolant in the cylinder. it runs as smooth as glass so you would never know there was an issue with it.
@@mattcat231 - I guess if you have a major head gasket leak I could see it, but it sounds to me like you need to replace the radiator cap on your Bonneville, because they are made to release extra pressure.

6:48 I would like to hear more about the surgery on you nose. How do they do that or do you know? Do you have sleep apnea? How did you or your doctor determine that your nose was congested enough for surgery? Joe Rogan was talking about this a year or so ago. He got the surgery on his nose so he could breathe through it. He is or was a fighter and needs that extra breathing ability. Was your sleep effected? How long have you had the problem?
Aweoms happy to talk. In highschool i got hit way hard in the nose with a basketball. I thought i broke it but it stopped bleeding and was not bruised or felt broke. But since then i had trouble breathing. Like *Restricted. I couldnt breathe easily if that makes sense. Like i really had to pull air in through my nose. Thats because the trauma (come to find out 12 years later) Bent my septum all the way over to one side. So its super dry out here and i got really bad nose bleeds. like atleast once a day. so I went to the doctor and said my nose bleeds. Oh by the way i think i have sleep apnea. So i did a sleep study and he refered me to an ENT. I did have (mild) sleep apnea. 2.8 occurrences an hour. But, they said thy didnt want to put me on CPAP since it wasnt too bad. Back to the ENT He looked in my nose and said "Woah, You have a severely dieviated septum". so he cotterized the nostril that had bleeding issues and scheduled surgery. It was outpaitient i went in the morning. Was sedated and 2-3 hours later went home. The open the septum skin on both sides and remove the cartilage. My doctor said they try and reuse as much as possible since it doesnt grow back so they smashed it with "A little meat tenderizor" so it would be flat and put it back in. 9 days later i finally felt back to normal and can breath so easy! Its crazy haha. (they also reduce the lower turbinate to help airflow.) (if you want oto see a real surgery, th-cam.com/video/uAaqn7ShCh8/w-d-xo.html ) (animated th-cam.com/video/uAaqn7ShCh8/w-d-xo.html ) If you are considdereing needing it they tell you so much its easy to see all the after care procedures as of equal importance. But, USE THE SALINE SPRAY ATLEAST AS MUCH AS THEY RECOMEND. thats my two cents. if not youll learn after its too late that that was one of the most important things... haha.
Their is a code on my car for EGR would that affect the driving
Possibly if the egr is open when it should not be it will give you very poor running conditions
It runs good only thing is giving me is shitty bad gas mileage
sounds like time to clean it. May be stuck open. Especially if the code is valve performance related. But make sure thats the issue first dont take my word. Check wireing and properly diagnose the issue.
Not that 'preventative maintenance' is in the owner's vocabulary, but what did the rest of the hoses look like?

Did you go to mechanic school I’ve done a lot of work but I’ve never pulled an engine but besides that I’ve done almos everything can I be a mobile mechanic?
Depends on the state. But regardless you’d never need school. You may need certifications and all you have to do is take the test so learn how you want.

i left out in the beginning. Someone from AZ hub was working in the store and somehow messed up the order so bad the parts werent even abvailable at hub anymore. but luckily Orilleys had the hose! SO i grabbed coolant there too!
