I want to see the Hollow Knight in Silksong. In the Pantheon endings, you see him (albeit barely) limp out of his chamber in the Black Egg Temple. Hornet, in turn, raises her needle in defense. I want this guy in Silksong! Anyone else agree?
I just noticed, at 1:03, when the knight takes in the infection from the Hollow Knight, if you slow it down, you actually see a white outline of the Radiance appear for a split second. These tiny details in the game are so cool!
I remember being mad when I got the first ending. All that work just to be trapped in the temple for an eternity. But now I see the Knight did it to save Hallownest and all its residents. How noble. 😊
My favorite part about endings 4 and 5 are where the hollow knight, no longer containing the radiance, waltzes out of the black egg temple and is just like "'sub brah"

I personally think that the little knight was not exactly destroyed in the dream no more ending he was likely “reincarnated” into pure void. Becoming a force of nature along with his siblings only returning when needed. But that’s just a theory.

Thank you for this. I was very satisfied just beating the game. I don't think I have the entry or time to do all the extra content and get the "hidden" endings. I have other games to play, so just watching this was fantastic
the sealed siblings and non delicate flower ending of pantheon of hallownest are pretty much the most darkest endings you can think of, because you seal off the infection using your Weaver sibling for eternity, and the other one you become a void entity and pretty much consume and slaughter all living things in hallownest with nothing to stop you.
4:40 That wasn't the void, that was the Hollow Knight's shade. The void is much bigger and is in a different ending. They are two different entities despite their connection.
So when I first played Hollow Knight, I knew nothing other than "It's a cool looking metroidvania, the graphics are amazing, f*** asphids". Then I went and got the 3rd ending first. Boy was I completely crushed seeing the little guy get obliterated. Even after researching alternative endings, I somehow didn't discover the sealed Hornet ending (arguably the worst ending), nor the delicate flower ending

There is a "Good" ending but there is no "true" ending. Apparently the devs said all endings are true. Not sure how Hornet would get out of the egg in the sealed siblings ending.
Silksong likely follows the path of one specific ending, and maybe they’ll do something with the others. Seeing as Silksong makes no mention of the knight, hornet is not stuck in the black egg, and the hollow Knight is nowhere to be seen it likely takes place after ending 1 or 3
Honestly, it felt so amazing getting the dream no more ending, prior to that, I had played the the game for over 70 hours and got 108% completion, then finally beating the game after doing all that, it just felt amazing
i really hope that the theory of the knight not actually being dead and just returning to its pure void so it can rest with its siblings in eternal peace until he’s needed again is true. because damn do i love the hell out of the knight. and i really hope he makes a return in silksong.
Oh hell yeah thank you so much!!! Ive downloaded this game like a year ago but i just recently maybe 2 weeks ago started playing it. I went in completely blind. Holy balls was it great! I cant even describe how this game sucked me in its world. The exploring, lovable bugs, sick visuals, dope combat, amazing storytelling and all the other perfect things Team Cherry created were so well put together. It truly is a masterpiece. Im here because i literally smacked every damn wall or roof that i found but never freaking discovered the "door" to get the Voidheart. Kinda spoilered the endings for me because i looked this up. Thanks to you im at 106% now. How cool!! I still have a Simple Key that i have no clue where to use. Guess gonna dive into it again ;)
I appreciate you explaining the endings. I was going to watch the 3rd ending, having given up on defeating the Radiance after so many failed attempts.. and I figured I'll just defeat (absolute) Radiance just one time instead of 3 times. But I'm having second thoughts. I'll come back for the 3rd ending should I give up, but I certainly will come back for the explanations.

I really didn't know of this game until Playstion Plus gave it to me for free with all the DLC. Love the game despite all the irritating boss battles! I think the endings that show the Hollow Knight come towards Hornet may hint that he is going to help her. With the Radiance gone, he's not under its influence and may team up with Hornet to save the Knight. His story isn't quite finished yet because he still exists in the dream realm or the nest based on the ending. There's also the potential that now that Hallownest citizens are regaining their minds, there may be a fight for rulership. They may have captured or convinced Hornet to take the throne being the daughter of the Pale King, it is her birth right. Hornet may be a servant to the new Pale King (Hallow Knight) who also has a birth right to rule. I doubt the White Lady is gonna leave her garden. We also learn through the lore about higher beings outside of Hallownest like the gods of storms and thunders (that either ditched their followers or died somehow). This leads me to believe that a sequel may also tie in others gods that wish to take over Hallownest for themselves since the Radiance is gone. Though I doubt this game will take place in Hallownest per say, a new map may reflect a neighboring state that may want to invade or under similar infection. Perhaps this distant land has clues to save our Shade Lord friend. Either way, I'm happy to play this game and am excited for the sequel.
In the first ending the egg temple is for ever closed with no possibility of saving hallownest, But in the second Hornet could fight the hollow Knight 2 or kill herself so the egg temple opens
Geez, I've already 70+ hours and I haven't beat the Trial of Fools, the Radiance and the NKG. Let alone start with the Pantheons. I have a second game with nearly 30 hours where I'm at 100% already, though.
Okay guys for no spoilers purpose, once u break the Dreamers, u can enter the Black Egg Temple. You will trigger an ending there. After u complete 1st ending, u can still play the game and explore it. There are still some endings to be triggered but with certain circumstances. (if u are curious about the circumtances, please continue enjoying this video.)
@@RelyeaGaming Yea. In the "good" ending you trap Hornet and now kingdom is free but it sill is destroyed. At godhome one ending makes you a demon and Hornet is probably dead because HK is stronger one I think. Only good one Is hardest to get but still is prety sad.

On the third ending when the void comes to help you... That black void form is the hollow knight. He has the same horns and even the same crack on his face.
After struggling through the Pantheon of the Knight, Pantheon of Hallownest is a big nope. Felt really good beating Pure Vessel at least, that fight was intense.
The second ending is worst choice that any player could choose. Hornet sacrifice her self to help knight get to The Radiance and defeat her but he didn't do it and as you said 3:18. I believe Radiance can spread the infection again and with Hornet sealed the infection will become eternal. Worst choice of course.
Hold on. So for the fifth ending, where you have to give the godseeker the delicate flower, that means you have to do that before giving the delicate flower to the grave and receiving a piece of the mask?

I wanted to see how hard the Hollow Knight fight was and I wasn’t ready to end the game yet, but I accidentally beat him and had to turn off my laptop lol
the infection still spreads in the first two endings because when the hollow knight was in the spot the infection still spread and in those endings you just replace him
My theory. Ghost now becomes the void, he loses his sheel and individuality but he still fell something even if he is just half a soul. Upon on this he gets to send messages through time to ask for hornet help, would explain why she calls him a ghost. She doesn't know wich hollow knight will be the vessel thats why she tests ghost to see if him js worth it. While ghost goes to unseal the hollow knight and fight the radiant, Hornet would be fighting her way elsewhere, remember the right side of the kingdom is blocked off by a land slide and she was the only one around there. But hornet's most important quest is to save ghost, this aligns with all endings all silksong would happen before hollow knight. Ghost needs a new vessel and need to be separated from the void, of course Lord void won't let his most powerful follower go easy. Ghost absorbed the dream power wich I believe is the opposite of the void. If he could just get things right he could come back to life, to see this kingdom he saved to prosper.
If you think about it, the darkness/darklord killed the light/god so does that mean we were in cahoots with the darkness the whole time? Bugs are evil here?
Everyone calls the ‘void entity’ the Shade Lord, due to how it’s roar is labelled in the files and it annoys me how you put the void entity in the description.
Do you need to equip the void Heart charm to activate the endings? Or just acquiring the void heart and not equiping it already access the other endings? If acquiring the Void Heart charm already access the other endings, can I just not acquire it and get the 'Hollow Knight' ending then go back and get the void heart to access the other endings. Hence, doing all the endings in a run? (srry if I don't understand)
Also in ending 4 and 5 The hollow knight has a pure nail from the patterns on his nail So that begs the question of why he dealt the same amount of damage as a guzzer or any low level scrub enemy in the game

There’s a really secret thing in the hollow knight lore. The hollow knight fight is the representation of when the older brother has had enough of the younger brother being annoying.

When the knight has the infection inside it really isn't a problem since the infection only spread and leak out of the hollow knight because he has dreams he has feelings and wants to be loved that's why the infection leaked out in the first place and since the knight doesn't have any feelings or dreams the infection can't leak out

The problem is: We don't know what the protagonists feel. We can make him give away little flowers to certain NPCs for example. This could be seen as an act of kindness, even though in many cases it's absolutely usesless when it comes to do things that helps defeating the Radiance. Furthermore, he seems to act on his own. Nobody tells him what to do (aside from the player, of course). Without any feelings or something similar that drives him forward it's at least hard to explain why he is doing anything at all. He just could stand there and stare at the wall. So it's at least thinkable that the Knight will fail someday just like the Hollow Knight did.
I just realized there's no villian in hollow knight, Radiance was just mad that the king stole their child, and every was forgetting about her and giving more reputation for the king and the queen
Fun fact about the 2 first endings: when the hollow knight screams as you absorb the last bits of infection, you can see a flash of the radiance's silhouette for a second. You can even even hear her scream mixed with the one of hollow knight.
so many years later i found a different ending. It requires you to use mods, you have to go into Godseeker mode and benchwarp to the hollow knight room, And then you have to kill radiance which is easy because in Godseeker they cant hit you? But i searched and found nothing. Am I the only one to have achieved this?
I am not sure what you mean by "THIS" ending as there are several endings. You can get both pantheon endings as you didn't deliver the flower to the pantheon person.

Oh hell yeah thank you so much!!! Ive downloaded this game like a year ago but i just recently maybe 2 weeks ago started playing it. I went in completely blind. Holy balls was it great! I cant even describe how this game sucked me in its world. The exploring, lovable bugs, sick visuals, dope combat, amazing storytelling and all the other perfect things Team Cherry created were so well put together. It truly is a masterpiece.
Im here because i literally smacked every damn wall or roof that i found but never freaking discovered the "door" to get the Voidheart. Kinda spoilered the endings for me because i looked this up.
Thanks to you im at 106% now. How cool!! I still have a Simple Key that i have no clue where to use.

I appreciate you explaining the endings. I was going to watch the 3rd ending, having given up on defeating the Radiance after so many failed attempts.. and I figured I'll just defeat (absolute) Radiance just one time instead of 3 times. But I'm having second thoughts. I'll come back for the 3rd ending should I give up, but I certainly will come back for the explanations.

@@namemcnameson1651 well, truth be told, the first Hollow Knight isn't even hollow, he is just the sealed vessel. The knight would then become the true hollow knight once he replaces it. ;)
Awesome video Relya! Even though I basicly have unlocked everything in the game and beat everything it had to offer, I still enjoy watching your videos. I really didn't know of this game until Playstion Plus gave it to me for free with all the DLC. Love the game despite all the irritating boss battles! I think the endings that show the Hollow Knight come towards Hornet may hint that he is going to help her. With the Radiance gone, he's not under its influence and may team up with Hornet to save the Knight. His story isn't quite finished yet because he still exists in the dream realm or the nest based on the ending.
There's also the potential that now that Hallownest citizens are regaining their minds, there may be a fight for rulership. They may have captured or convinced Hornet to take the throne being the daughter of the Pale King, it is her birth right. Hornet may be a servant to the new Pale King (Hallow Knight) who also has a birth right to rule. I doubt the White Lady is gonna leave her garden.
We also learn through the lore about higher beings outside of Hallownest like the gods of storms and thunders (that either ditched their followers or died somehow). This leads me to believe that a sequel may also tie in others gods that wish to take over Hallownest for themselves since the Radiance is gone. Though I doubt this game will take place in Hallownest per say, a new map may reflect a neighboring state that may want to invade or under similar infection. Perhaps this distant land has clues to save our Shade Lord friend. Either way, I'm happy to play this game and am excited for the sequel.

In the first ending the egg temple is for ever closed with no possibility of saving hallownest,
But in the second Hornet could fight the hollow Knight 2 or kill herself so the egg temple opens

Geez, I've already 70+ hours and I haven't beat the Trial of Fools, the Radiance and the NKG. Let alone start with the Pantheons. I have a second game with nearly 30 hours where I'm at 100% already, though.

Okay guys for no spoilers purpose, once u break the Dreamers, u can enter the Black Egg Temple. You will trigger an ending there. After u complete 1st ending, u can still play the game and explore it. There are still some endings to be triggered but with certain circumstances. (if u are curious about the circumtances, please continue enjoying this video.)
I have to comfort myself in having seen the first three endings, because I'm quite sure I'll never see the last two on my own Switch system. 😉

Finally got the good ending today after beating the Radiance... if you can call it that. None of these endings seem particularly happy
The game as a whole is pretty beleak. Even if the infection is gone, there is not much left to save
@@RelyeaGaming Yea. In the "good" ending you trap Hornet and now kingdom is free but it sill is destroyed. At godhome one ending makes you a demon and Hornet is probably dead because HK is stronger one I think. Only good one Is hardest to get but still is prety sad.

On the third ending when the void comes to help you... That black void form is the hollow knight. He has the same horns and even the same crack on his face.
After struggling through the Pantheon of the Knight, Pantheon of Hallownest is a big nope. Felt really good beating Pure Vessel at least, that fight was intense.

The second ending is worst choice that any player could choose. Hornet sacrifice her self to help knight get to The Radiance and defeat her but he didn't do it and as you said 3:18. I believe Radiance can spread the infection again and with Hornet sealed the infection will become eternal. Worst choice of course.

Once you beat him you are returned to the bench just before the fight. You can get all endings on one save game file

the infection still spreads in the first two endings because when the hollow knight was in the spot the infection still spread and in those endings you just replace him

My theory.
Ghost now becomes the void, he loses his sheel and individuality but he still fell something even if he is just half a soul. Upon on this he gets to send messages through time to ask for hornet help, would explain why she calls him a ghost.
She doesn't know wich hollow knight will be the vessel thats why she tests ghost to see if him js worth it.
While ghost goes to unseal the hollow knight and fight the radiant, Hornet would be fighting her way elsewhere, remember the right side of the kingdom is blocked off by a land slide and she was the only one around there.
But hornet's most important quest is to save ghost, this aligns with all endings all silksong would happen before hollow knight.
Ghost needs a new vessel and need to be separated from the void, of course Lord void won't let his most powerful follower go easy.
Ghost absorbed the dream power wich I believe is the opposite of the void.
If he could just get things right he could come back to life, to see this kingdom he saved to prosper.

Do you need to equip the void Heart charm to activate the endings? Or just acquiring the void heart and not equiping it already access the other endings? If acquiring the Void Heart charm already access the other endings, can I just not acquire it and get the 'Hollow Knight' ending then go back and get the void heart to access the other endings. Hence, doing all the endings in a run?

The hollow knight has a pure nail from the patterns on his nail
So that begs the question of why he dealt the same amount of damage as a guzzer or any low level scrub enemy in the game

There’s a really secret thing in the hollow knight lore. The hollow knight fight is the representation of when the older brother has had enough of the younger brother being annoying.

When the knight has the infection inside it really isn't a problem since the infection only spread and leak out of the hollow knight because he has dreams he has feelings and wants to be loved that's why the infection leaked out in the first place and since the knight doesn't have any feelings or dreams the infection can't leak out

The problem is: We don't know what the protagonists feel. We can make him give away little flowers to certain NPCs for example. This could be seen as an act of kindness, even though in many cases it's absolutely usesless when it comes to do things that helps defeating the Radiance. Furthermore, he seems to act on his own. Nobody tells him what to do (aside from the player, of course). Without any feelings or something similar that drives him forward it's at least hard to explain why he is doing anything at all. He just could stand there and stare at the wall. So it's at least thinkable that the Knight will fail someday just like the Hollow Knight did.

I just realized there's no villian in hollow knight, Radiance was just mad that the king stole their child, and every was forgetting about her and giving more reputation for the king and the queen
Fun fact about the 2 first endings: when the hollow knight screams as you absorb the last bits of infection, you can see a flash of the radiance's silhouette for a second. You can even even hear her scream mixed with the one of hollow knight.

so many years later i found a different ending. It requires you to use mods, you have to go into Godseeker mode and benchwarp to the hollow knight room, And
then you have to kill radiance which is easy because in Godseeker they cant hit you? But i searched and found nothing. Am I the only one to have achieved this?

I am not sure what you mean by "THIS" ending as there are several endings.
You can get both pantheon endings as you didn't deliver the flower to the pantheon person.
