I would like to see a video from you dedicated to ways to hide clutter. I live in a very small apartment and clutter is a constant battle. Thanks Drew!
I wonder if you could go for a maximalist style. It may not be the perfect solution, but the clutter may not stand out as much. Just a random thought, but I once made the mistake of going for a minimal look while I lived in a tiny apartment & instead it always felt cluttered with things I needed - it seemed to make it worse. But when you look at a lot of places with more of a layered maximalist style you almost never notice “clutter”.
@ourcozycorner8517 A lot of clutter items aren't decorative or pleasant to look at though, and I think this would just intensify how crowded a space feels. You still have to be intentional with maximalism. The solution this person is looking for is getting creative with storage.
Perhaps storage bins under the bed , I keep all my appliances in a cabinet from Amazon and a seasoning wheel for perfumes and in the kitchen for seasonings nice storage containers from Aldi or home goods it won’t look like clutter.
Even in small spaces people have more items than they want or need. First step declutter what you can. Second look at organisation solutions that suit your organising style - take the clutterbug quiz to find out whether you are visual or hidden and micro or macro. Store like items with like items to get a better sense of where you have unnecessary duplicates. All the best.
Drew, When I moved in here, I even remember telling the manager. “Being, so small this is going to be so much easier to keep clean.” It’s NOT! Everything is right in your face, and easily put off until later. Which never happens.
Another tip for glare free art is to buy museum grade glass that has anti glare properties. That way you can still protect your art and bonus it’s uv protected.
@@annettevelez7069 mats are fine to use with museum glass, it’s is the best type as it protects artwork and even mats from UV damage which often causes discolouration
Loved the video ! May I suggest a 11th way to elevate your home ? Add plants. I mean healthy ones (RIP your poor ficus), or fake ones. There are many plants that are really low maintenance, and it's a great way to decorate and bring life to any home.
What I love about Your design is first: You can not tell if this is a female or male space - You can see personality not sex. Second: You have an old soul and I think You can not learn it - this is natural talent ❤
These are great tips and the best part is they are all on the “DIY inexpensive” side. You have given tips on how to elevate our homes without having to spend loads of money.
I agree. The first interior designer whose home I love! It's so warm and cozy. And he feels more human or something. I can't quite describe it but he has a comforting quality in his approach, his speaking, and his design. Like a warm blanket. lol
I have a beautiful picture of a horse in a field from Pottery Barn. It's large and the picture has folds that show with the reflective glass. I moved the glass to the back and it's fixed...OMG you have answered my prayers! Thank you!
I once accidentally broke the glass on a very large picture in my home and after cleaning up the mess, I had every intention of replacing the glass. In the meantime I hung it back up and instantly realized it looked better without the glass! haha
Your video are like therapy. I love all your transitions and growth over the years. What I would like to see is you showing us to use a power tool like a nail gun or power saw. I am so intimidated by them. I know there are channels that probably do show and tell but you are my favorite.
Hi Drew, the ceiling medallion is called a ceiling rose. They're really common in the uk and originally had perforations to provide ventilation. These are great suggestions, love your channel!
Drew, almost all the DIY projects that are displayed in my home came from your videos! And your room re-dos have inspired my own room updates. Thank you for sharing so many fantastic ideas!! I have several marble plant stands that elevate my living space. This summer my husband and I will be updating our entire house in preparation for retirement. We have chosen Hewn flooring, that has zero off gassing and look like hard wood. It is also great for dogs!🐕
Drew, you have the best diy channel online. I always enjoy yours so much. You are the most creative, classy designer. Looking forward to your next one!
Multipurpose furniture for open concept Kitchen/Dining/Living rooms. Not micro apartments, not big lux homes....but average 1200 to 1700 sq. foot homes. Chairs to fit a dining table AND be part of the living room.....something like that:)
Wow, Drew...this is so helpful. I feel like I get valuable advice and ideas EVERY time I watch your videos. Thank for you providing us high quality content! All the best!
Great tips here! Just bought a rug for under my queen bed. I spent a long, long time looking at rugs and made sure I went to the store to feel the rug. The rug I chose is so cushy and soft under my feet.. I step on it every morning so needed to make sure it was going to feel good each and every day... that's true luxury to me!
Beautiful! I feel like designers (not necessarily Drew, just a general thing I’ve noticed) do sometimes ignore how rugs feel underfoot, which to me is even more important than the look of the rug! True luxury is finding a rug that feels great, looks great, and functions well (durability and cleaning). 😌
With summer on the way, I would love to see this same type of video but for decorating your patio, front door, or backyard. Love the content! Thanks Drew ♥️

Fabulous video. I think removing the glass of a picture does indeed make it look better, but exposure to the air can degrade paper over time (think of yellowed newspapers). If a work on paper is something valuable, you can get "museum glass" at a custom-frame shop. Museum glass is specially formulated to have no glare, and it also protects from UV rays. It's pricey, but worth it if the art is something really special.

Amazing tips!! My favorite thing that I did to upgrade my office was to put molding along the top, bottom, and middle ledges of my basic Amazon bookcases to make them look built in. Great and inexpensive ideas. I was so excited when your one tip for 'conceiling your clutter' came up. I thought what a great play on words by a genius designer.
