I somewhat assume that the Tyranids will get a Gene-Stealer stand-in for their 5th slot once some of these characters are released similar to how the Dark Angels get Incisus as their 5th.

I quite like the look of this new faction selection framework. Necrons are the only faction I have full, which is fine for me because I like the faction both thematically and in the way they play. The bad tier list rating shall not deter their Relentless March! It's also nice I can try all factions at common. I'm not sure about the bombardment mechanic, but I suppose it's necessary.
as a huge fan of both necrons and the black legion, it hurts a lot to know they've been powercrept so much, and I hope to see the day they both get partial or full reworks like the orks are getting
I get why Angrax is the ally unit for the world eaters, but I would have liked it better to be Archimatos. I mean, the dude Literally summons bloodletters, which are deamons of Khorne. That reminds me, are they ever gonna change the faction of the bloodletters to world eaters instead of black legion? Edit: spelling errors

Been playing in the TA and using orks since i have all of them so juicy extra points for me and my god they have been demolishing. 10-0 wins so far. Boss Guls active almost lets me wipe their teams in 1 turn
Skipping this event since I will keep my Activity with Tacticus to bare minimum for few months to come since I got burned badly with recent requisition update. got to have someone datamine the new requisition to see if Snowprint is rigging the rates with their recent update.
So please tell me the final chest is still 250 points and not buffed to 300 or something because of the bonus points for complete or almost complete factions. And do you get +2 for owning those split squads of like DAs+Incisus? I would think so.
Does anyone know what is going on with the items in this game mode? For exmple, if I play on epic level, I need items to be epic lvl 9. What if I use legendary items?
I think Black Templars and Ultramarines are going to be some of the stronger ones. Black templars are heavily geared towards PVP, while ultramarines have two gravis characters and a healer. Calgar can make even Titus quite threatening!
I'm a little concerned by this mode, as I think that its a bit punishing towards mid level players. In the past, it has been quite difficult to get the requestion if you play at common rank. To play in this mode competitively above common will require you to complete a faction, which generally requires you to have both the legendary character and the epic character from that faction. This is fine for end game players with a large roster, and with new players that will have no complete rosters. But mid game players will essentially be forced to play at common, as they likely will have the commons/uncommon/rare of many factions, but lack any complete rosters. I find it unlikely that an effective 4 man team will ever be able to compete. Next time, I would like to have at least one loaner character at rarity rather then have all the loaners locked to common. At least they recently updated Orcs, which are the easiest factions to assemble along with Necrons.
I mean I do think capping loaners at Common is shitty if you legit have an Uncommon/Rare/Epic capped squad otherwise, but just being able to play with characters/factions you don't have, even at Common, is a HUGE improvement to TA and especially the new player's TA experience. TA will let you play in Common without a Common capped team and that's why losers run Double Howl teams there, to feast on these rosters.
Mildy upset i can't use my tyranids, they're easily my strongest faction so i'll be useless in this war. I really hope they realise the final Nid character soon, it's been over a year.
I tried the tournament arena once and I didn't like it at all... it's the only game style in tacticus that I'm not interested in at all...but thx for the video
It's a very new player unfriendly mode. I think this will help its reputation though. Also, TA is the only mode in the game where you can play as much as you want (queue for casual), when you want, for free. You can learn a lot about the game just getting casual reps at Common in.
I'm not sure I agree with your tier ranking there. Necrons are Good, at least, great synergy with unit spawning. And quite difficult to kill with all that healing too. Dark Angels, I feel are deceptively good. Very turtlelike formation can be troublesome to deal with. Tau are Good, not entirely sure it's amazing, might be your Tau bias talking here. SoB might be Bad. Great individual power but they actually have anti synergy between each other. SW might be Greater Good too. Melee heavy team greatly buffed by Ragnar. Tjark is anti psyker, Ulf is anti summoner. The remaining two I got to admit aren't that useful.
I also think DA+Incisus is a strong squad. Good tankiness, faction buffs and both melee/ranged options. I was also curious as to the Necrons being on the bottom tier...I think they'll do fine.
Are they really forcing us to use Titus?!!! I start to hate SnowPrint. I have 5 Space Marine but I won't be able to use them to their fullest because it's a damn pay to win game...

I think space wolves will rip. People disrespect arjac heavily. Ulf/rag/Tjark are all phenomenal and everyone sleeps on Arjac. I routinely use him in TA and one shot people. He doesnt die till last so you can build up his ability damage and one shot their pierce/psykers and then they cant crack his armor and he beats em down. Njal is garbo though 🤣

The Dark Angels might actually do better than expected, primarily as they have bonuses versus Chaos and two chaos teams are likely to be near the top.

If you use legendary items they are automatically downscaled to max epic
