Rocking that new studio!! When I FPP, i sometimes pre-fold my paper on each stitch line so that instead of holding it up to the light to check the quarter inch, I just fold back the paper and do it on the table. As a bonus, it helps when ripping out the paper later, especially if you’re using normal printer paper. Thanks for the great tutorial! ❤️
I not new to sewing, but new-ish to quilting. Every piece I've cut, following the measurements, has been WRONG! So frustrating. If the cutting instructions for 6" finished block, what size are you cutting the pieces out and why aren't those measurements shown?😡
The cutting instructions are oversized. This will be in almost all quilt patterns, you make units larger than you need them so you can trim them down and get them perfectly square and the points exactly 1/4 inch from the edge! I hope this helps. You will always be trimming your units down. The only exception to this is square and rectangle pieces that won't be made into other units. This block has a few thats the only reason I am mentioning that! Hope this helps!

Great tutorial! I like to add a small swipe of washable gluestick to my FPP paper to keep my first piece of fabric in place.

I am new to paper piecing. Do uou remove the paper after assembling the block?
That is how I like to do it. You could also remove the papers before assembly. It's definitely a personal preference.
Great tutorial - thank you! Can I ask if there is a pattern for the quilted jacket behind you? Many thanks
Hello Lesley! It's a modified/hacked Tamarack Quilted Jacket Pattern by Grainline Studio!

What does FPP mean?
Foundation Paper Piecing
The sound effects are kind of annoying.
We appreciate the feedback!
