This movie is the perfect, prime example of how to properly execute a remake. This is, in my ever so humble opinion, the best Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie ever.
If you want more gore and "scare" factor then I agree but I will say the original is equally good in terms of feeling like a documentary and it feels like there is more you can actually study from it for implicit story telling and meaning.
Mell, check out Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006), Jordana Brewster from Fast and the Furious is in it, it's so good. If you enjoyed this one, you'll love that one. Great reaction as always, Mello!
@@alwayzchillin0714 Same here, those are my favorites too, along with the OG. Yes! The Faculty is so underrated. Ever since he saw From Dusk till Dawn, I hoped he would check out The Faculty next, it's so good. But he may have to watch the Body Snatchers movies first before he watches that.
@@erwanplumart1129 Yeah, she's great in there, that's probably my favorite performance from her even though I really liked her in everything I've seen her in (The Faculty, Fast & Furious franchise, etc.) I really want to see how he reacts to that movie and the climax.
I was about to pause and make the comment and then saw the John Laroquette meme and continued watching. 🙂 nice to see you doing your due diligence. Props
I was 12 or 13 watched this by myself. After finishing i was shaking non stop so I went to my neighbor and we just watched boxing on HBO lol this movie freaked me out.
" they replaced every man with a woman" then the woke line. The thing is in this remake they aren't gender swapping characters so it doesn't count. For instance in the orginal The Hichhiker was a man but also a member of the family, in this one she was a woman but also a victim of the family so completely different, and thus not woke.
Honestly I think it’s trying too hard to be dirty, while still looking very clean. They even put a filter over it to make it seem dirty. The old one didn’t need it. It seemed dirty, you could almost smell it. That said, I do like the addition to the lore and Hoyt is always a hoot.
Mellow, I know I'm just a person on the internet behind a screen, but I love you and your reactions! My favorite reaction channel! I wish you an abundance of happiness for putting a smile on your subscribers faces with every reaction🫶🏽
The original and this one are the most popular as far as I'm aware. I love them both too and this is the 1st one in the franchise I got to see in theaters!
I literally clicked of a smosh video to watch this, and then the ian clip happened. I was so confused 😂 it was the most shocking crossover I have ever witnessed
Filmed in my hometown. The house is 30 minutes outside of town. Caution to visitors. The owners disassociate themselves and will approach visitors with a gun if they hang around the gates
Yeah man. Italian horror hits different. Cannibal Holocaust by Deodato, Bay of Blood by Bava, New York Ripper by Fulci and Cannibal Ferox by Lenzi are among my favorites. Of course, if feeling brave and experimental, there's Salo or the 120 Days of Sodom by Passolini
He said he tried Cannibal Holocaust and scrapped it because it was boring, the others are a Hell Yeah, but I doubt TH-cam would allow or promote Salö. I'd love more reactions of Lucio Fulci and Mario Bava movies.
I feel like you could do a show like family guy, with all the voices, impressions and hilarious commentary you do in your reactions. I’m telling ya there’s something there you could do.
27:45 I agree they definitely was going for the Friday the 13th Jason look. I just like the original more. The original is better because how much gritty it was. It felt like a documentary while this one felt more Hollywood horror.
One of my favorite remakes! I remember my cousin watched this movie in theaters, he was older than the rest of us and he told us all about it. I did not get much sleep that night lol
I'll have to admit, out of Michael Bay's horror Remakes, this is pretty ok. Nightmare was the better and Friday was infuriating awful. I think 26:15 - 26:27 is my fav part of the video.
I am the complete opposite.😂😂😂 The Friday the 13th remake is my favorite of all the F13 movies and I absolutely hate the Nightmare on Elm Street remake. Jackie Earl Haley was a good choice to play Freddy but, in my opinion, everything else about the film sucked. Especially Nancy, who was awesome in the original.
It's crazy how well she knows the lyrics to that song that won't be released for another year because it just said this was set in nineteen seventy-f^^king-three, and the album that song comes from wasn't released until 1974.
I can confirm. I have had a TX sheriff pull a gun on me for having a bowl (about 1/3 of a gram) of marijuana. 14:58 darn near shit my pants... "I comply! I COMPLY!"
This one is probably my favorite one even though I'm old enough to remembering watching the original back in 82 on VCR so that has nostalgia for me but as far as the better story and really everything else this is my favorite. Sorry for the essay 😂😂
This was the first "inspired/based on a true story" movie I watched and it scared the hell out of me. I was like "Okay never going to Texas" and not too long after, found out my dad got assigned to move to San Antonio. I was like NOOOOOOOO
Mel if you remember in the beginning when the sheriff was investigating the body and he found the gun notice that he actually had a holster for the gun meaning it was his!
19:08 💀💀💀💀😂😂😂😂 I still cannot get over that scene no matter how many times I had seen this remake from the start back in the day when I first watch this movie on Cable I thought she was gonna back up the van put it in reverse
9:20 A nice lil detail most people don't notice is he had a perfect mini holster for that on his ankle... In other words that revolver was HIS all along, the lady at the beginning probably grabbed it off him before making her "escape" These people had so many red flags in their face and they still walked straight to their death, I'd have already been gone outta there so fast you'd think I was a Loony Tunes character 💀
sorry dude there was this channel and a video it all got out of hand but im glad i watched this also dude i dont know if you know this but you look incredible with a mustache please never shave it ever > - < dang i want to go on sci fi adventures with you or like have a bar brawl in the middle of nowhere keep on keepin on man i didnt even hit play yet but i know i wont enjoy this movie > - < i do enjoy you thoug mel and im glad youre here with us also :)

💯 told someone that
If you want more gore and "scare" factor then I agree but I will say the original is equally good in terms of feeling like a documentary and it feels like there is more you can actually study from it for implicit story telling and meaning.
I love the OG so much but yeah, this one and The Beginning are my favorites. I just loved how brutal they were.
This remake, Evil Dead and Friday the 13th remake are all pretty good remakes imo
@@swagwolfgang Friday the 13th was definitely good
This is one of my favorite remakes.
The dude with the glasses was the only one making sense in this movie 😂
And he started the movie stoned out of his mind.
The actor who plays Leatherface is gonna come to my job on Halloween
What’s your job
@ I’m a scar actor at a haunted attraction
@ cool
Andrew Bryniarski is the perfect Leatherface! i wish i can get a chance to meet. but a bit nervious at the same time.
I legitmatly can't think about that guy without thinking of the Awful stuff He said About Gunnar Hansen...
Mell, check out Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006), Jordana Brewster from Fast and the Furious is in it, it's so good. If you enjoyed this one, you'll love that one. Great reaction as always, Mello!
This one and The Beginning are my favorite 2, good final girls. Jordana Brewster is also in another horror movie, The Faculty.
I’m agree Texas chainsaw massacre the beginning is one of the best Jordana brewster is amazing in this movie
It’s only right he checks it out
@@alwayzchillin0714 Same here, those are my favorites too, along with the OG. Yes! The Faculty is so underrated. Ever since he saw From Dusk till Dawn, I hoped he would check out The Faculty next, it's so good. But he may have to watch the Body Snatchers movies first before he watches that.

Its so hilarious everytime in a scary movie the person escapes and tries to stop a driver and the driver ends up being part the problem.
“NO, NOT HIS NUTS!” 😂😂
Mell vocalize all his intrusive thoughts 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dude rides the spectrum, fersure.
it jessica beil in her prime he valid to vocalize those thoughts
Lol

Your new intro is flames!🔥🔥🔥 Great reaction!💕
"This is disgusting, bro..... I'm speechless"........ welcome to the TCM franchise lol.
I was 12 or 13 watched this by myself. After finishing i was shaking non stop so I went to my neighbor and we just watched boxing on HBO lol this movie freaked me out.
How many years ago
HELLLLL YES! Two uploads today? I'm so happy now! Currently watching you play Facade lol, it's AMAZING!
Much love Mello! :)

Another wild reaction mell🔥💥
Oh yes another good video by Mel let’s gooooooo 🎉
Omg i was in a minute after you post, i never been this early 🎉
Jessica Biel was killing me with that shirt lol. (What a treasure chest.)
That Knot Was Tied With Harry Potter Magic!
This brings me back lol keep it up man this reaction was awesome ngl , This is awesome tho this is one of the best remakes tbh ngl .
Intro looks nice, but the 300 intro suits ya better. More epic 😁👍 ty for all the awesome reactions Mel!!!
literally so excited for this watch!
I can’t wait for your jump scares😂😂😂😂
Yes one of my
Favorite TCM Movies Thanks For Reacting To It
I've always thought of R.Lee Ermey role in this movie as Hartman but sick and crazier.
RIP R.Lee Ermey
His take on Sheriff Hoytt is my absolute favorite part of this remake. He even compared it to Tobie Hopper's 1973 film. In a more tribute way.
New intros tight bro
As a smosh fan, that clip of Ian in the beginning meant so much to me
I literally clicked of a smosh video to watch this, and then the ian clip happened. I was so confused 😂 it was the most shocking crossover I have ever witnessed
Happy 21st Anniversary Of Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake (2003)
Filmed in my hometown. The house is 30 minutes outside of town. Caution to visitors. The owners disassociate themselves and will approach visitors with a gun if they hang around the gates
Yesssss mell. Loving the constant uploads
Finally Mell picked my favorite franchise of all time. Don’t piss yourself 😂😂😂
14:20 phantom sense pain! Then that scream😂😂😂

Yea this is the one that fr had me shook 💯 it just felt grim af how it starts with a legit normal day and then immediately one thing after another

@TheMarvelousM yeah, those picks fit best for me, but Mello is a bit more normal. Suspiria or Tenebrae may be more his speed. Lol
@@aldoushuxleysghost i think he'd like Fulci if he just starts with The Beyond. Everyone says Zombie, but Mellow likes Great movies.

Definitely a reaction I been waiting for 😂

Once again.......Badass Intro💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
This was a pretty decent remake for 2003
Hey Mel, when halloween is over and you need a laugh, I recommend saving silverman. Its a classic comedy.
Your intro is 🔥
Love the intro 😆
One of my favorite remakes! I remember my cousin watched this movie in theaters, he was older than the rest of us and he told us all about it. I did not get much sleep that night lol

First!! Also hi mellow! Dark shadows is awesome and also masterminds! ❤❤❤
14 minutes and 48 seconds - best jumpscare reaction in recorded history.
14:47
If you thought Jessica Biel was mid you needa watch I now pronounce you chuck and larry. Movie is pretty funny in its own right too.
I may not be first, but I am the first jamaican 😅
They did their own take on the chainsaw dance, just, one handed.
One of my favorite Texas chainsaw movies is the one with Matthew McConaughey in it
It's crazy how well she knows the lyrics to that song that won't be released for another year because it just said this was set in nineteen seventy-f^^king-three, and the album that song comes from wasn't released until 1974.
Did NOT expect to see Ian from Smosh not 5 seconds in 😂
Great reaction to a great remake 🎉 😊
my favorite is definitely Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
Can't wait for that reaction!!
I hope he watches that one next, it's so good. I love that one & this one equally.
I really love this one!!!
Its just so damn gruesome and crazy!!!
I like this better than the original!
20:52 😂😂 hell of a roast
Hey Mello, love your channel,I’m hoping you do Aliens Vs Predator,it’s a good movie that everyone loves so much
Upload after upload and lm here for it ❤❤
I saw this in theaters with my best friend when we were 13. It scared the shit out of us but it was soooo fun!
The jump scare when he drops down behind her at the factory had theaters going wild lol.
Hi, love your reaction/s. Favorite of Texas Chainsaw massacre is better than other remakes etc
I can confirm. I have had a TX sheriff pull a gun on me for having a bowl (about 1/3 of a gram) of marijuana. 14:58 darn near shit my pants... "I comply! I COMPLY!"
There are nine Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies and only three of them are liked, the original (of course), the second one and this 2003 remake.
This one is probably my favorite one even though I'm old enough to remembering watching the original back in 82 on VCR so that has nostalgia for me but as far as the better story and really everything else this is my favorite. Sorry for the essay 😂😂

Mel if you remember in the beginning when the sheriff was investigating the body and he found the gun notice that he actually had a holster for the gun meaning it was his!
Should definitely check out Little Shop of Horrors if you’re really into musicals.

The little boy is the same one from The Ring
In the original Gunnar Hansen was 6'4" and they added 3 inch lifts to his shoes, so I feel like they were going for size back then too.

Ive never felt more bad for a character than Andy
OMG! I was just talking about this movie last night. 🎃🕯️🍂
This is one of my fav movies just because it actually scared me when ever the trailer came on tv i had to change the channel 😅

Also texas chainsaw is fictional, but it was inspired by real-life events and people
One of the best horror remakes.
Now you need to watch the 2006 “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning” to know where it all started 😈
The second og one ok the beginning favorite
