I'm watching 3 to 4 of your videos a day. Enjoy them so much. Got some of your stickers coming to put on my cooler, my ingle bait cooler, and plano box.
You caught some beautiful red fish and flounders! Just watching what you are doing and your explainíng I really feel I'm learning the proper way to catch flounder! May the Lord Jesus bless your endeavors!
It's awesome that you fish in different ways, such as kayak pier and boat ect. Some of us don't have the truck boat combo and u do all different approaches. Keep on and tight lines
absolutely obsessed with the Plano boxes, bought about 6 to replace the old boxes I had. You can’t go wrong with those honestly. Keep up the good work your vids are very entertaining!
I am a true pier rat, and I've logged some hours on that pier. Not nearly as many though as I have on Fairhope Pier, and from time to time I've seen some buddies of mine in a few of your videos !!
That was a nice day of fishing. I have loaded my reels with spider wire braid. I know it is going in freshwater what do you think about it in saltwater?
Another fun day... Keepm tight.... Maybe go grab some sand flees from the Pass jetty(eastside) and bringm to the Pier..Could be interesting...LOL... "RTR"
Great to see you fishing on the pier I'm a first-time viewer. I just hit the Subscribe Button I used to live about 6 ish miles from there Orange Beach about three blocks from the marina. I'm in Central Alabama now.
Love your videos looks like a blast I live in Texas and the peers here aren't nearly as fun as that one. If I wanted to go fish there are the licensing for someone over 65 who is a veteran and from out of state hard to figure out I tried looking on your Alabama fishing laws and it's confusing as heck if you have any insight into that I would appreciate it. I just want to go fish there for a couple days
What tackle bag are you using? Thanks for the info on those Plano boxes. I need to upgrade my tackle boxes and those look pretty durable. I like to moisture control too. Tight lines!
I enjoy my Staal’s. I use them practically every single day and beat em up pretty good. They’re worth it to me, but there are plenty of good choices of reels out there to use. Appreciate ya watching 👍🏼
Van Staals are worth the money. I've got a few of them and really like them. But they feel really strange if your used to a smoother more fluid reel. Check out the new Slammer IV, Saltist MQ, Ballistic MQ. They're going to be great reels in the sub 300 dollar range.
Hello I have a question how do you get the rod in blue you have because I just got a van staal Vr50 and I found the rod but it’s only in black so can you put a link in my comment Thank you so much🎣🎣🎣
I purchased mine from J and M Tackle in Orange Beach, AL.! They seem to be the only ones that have them In Stock currently ! You can check Tackle Direct put I'm pretty sure they were sold out at the moment
I hear a lot of the hook rusting out bit... Well, it's certainly possible, but I doubt anyone has ever done a study on it, so I'm very unsure whether fish generally survive (and can eat) with a rusting hook deep in the gut. Probably better to keep the fish in those circumstances, I reckon. I'm not too sure about fishing when you can't properly land what you might catch (e.g. stingray) either. Better to avoid fish damage. Great channel and excellent venues whatever, though!
If your not fishing hundreds of feet down braid or mono isint going to change much on the sensitivity of the line. I fished 100 pound mono before off piers that are 7 feet above the water and you can feel everything even tiny snapper.
Nice video! I spent many days as a kid in the 70s fishing off of that pier. Strange to see the sand bar encroaching - hopefully it won’t go to the same extent as Dauphin Island pier, which last time I was there was pretty much on dry land.
Love this channel, but I can’t relate to $1000 reels and $250 rods.I think that’s one reason Richard Gene the fishing machine has so many subscribers. He uses tackle that’s affordable for folks.
Thanks, and I enjoy using what I have. I’m not forcing or telling anyone to go buy anything. Anyone can fish with anything they like and it isn’t going to affect me and it shouldn’t affect them.
@@BamaSaltwater I'm with you on the high end tackle. I've got Van Staal, Accurate, Avet, high end Daiwas, etc... started off with cheap combos from Walmart and added to the collection over many years. It's a better investment and an absolute joy to fish with. I've really enjoyed your videos. Passed over the first couple videos of yours I saw because I thought you were Bama Beach Bum. And I honestly just don't care for his videos at all. But I enjoy your style of content. Also a staal is 500 not 1k.
Your crazy buying pretied rigs!!! Buy some 4x6 4mil thick bags on eBay. Tie all your rigs ahead of time and put them in the bags and reuse the bags. That pre-tied rig had to of cost 3+ dollars. Owner hooks are overpriced by themselves lol.
Looks like you're going to blow past that 10K subscriber goal. Well deserved!! Somebody sponsor this guy! He's going to the moon!
This comment aged really well at 55k now if he continues with it I can see him in the 100-200k by the end of the year.
Good video bud we want to see mom fishing more often to lol

The redfish with those two huge tail spots was gorgeous !!
Great to see your fishing buddy! She’s cool! Where did you get that bait bucket mount for your cart?
Mom is awesome! And I purchased it with my cart from J and M tackle about 12 years ago. I’ve looked online to post a link but everyone is sold out !
It's awesome that you fish in different ways, such as kayak pier and boat ect. Some of us don't have the truck boat combo and u do all different approaches. Keep on and tight lines
Dude been binge watching your videos. Awesome content, makes me home sick. Can't wait to get back to the gulf.
Your terminal tackle box is on point
My OCD kicks in hahaha. I love it . Appreciate ya watching
Enjoy all info & instructions. Like the learning & information the best.
Hello I have one more question on the rod that you have can you catch a big tarpon on it or no?
I’ve hooked into them on my smaller rods but you really need a 8-9ft Heavy action rod for a bigger tarpon.
@@BamaSaltwater ok thanks

Awesome video!! I’m going down to Alabama for spring break and wondering how I can identify the fish species and what size they have to be to keep?
I was fishing there about 1 and a half months ago
Great video-! Do more pier fishing in the future. When will they ever finish the construction on that pier?
Thanks and no clue haha
sting rays are good eating .. I catch them in Beaufort SC
That was a nice day of fishing. I have loaded my reels with spider wire braid. I know it is going in freshwater what do you think about it in saltwater?
I like spider wire. It’ll be fine In Saltwater
I was there fishing on the beach Sunday afternoon. I'll have to try the pier next time 👍🏼😊
Same lol

Good variety of fish off the pier!
Thank you.!

That's the number I would call to find out info, they should know more than I do about the technicalities on licensing.
Thank you very much I appreciate it you might see me out there beside you one day
What kind of rod is your mom using? Very pretty.
It’s a custom, hand built rod. It’s a Rainshadow blank if I remember correctly

@@BamaSaltwater Awesome. Thanks!
So do you have to use a circle hook everywhere if using live bait?
Where did you get the 5 gallon bait bucket holder for your cart?
I’ve had that one for about 9 years now and I purchased it at J and M Tackle. You can find them online but they’re all sold out !
I love to fish on the pier
do you like you’re van staal? Was it worth how’s it holding up

I hope you never kill any fish you don't intend to keep(eat).
You're a jackass
That was a whitening right not red?
With stingrays, you twang the line if they are sticking to the bottom.
Where did you get your bait bucket stand for your cart? Thanks
Love the content
All the grass has moved up to my backyard freshwater pond😂
almost to 10k awesome!
Yay you hit 10k subs that is amazing
the birds there will always try to steal your bait off the hook it happened to me twice
Why is the pier so empty?
It was right after the TS Fred and I guess nobody wanted to brave the waves or the wind haha.
They already fixed it?
Good day fishing and a nice partner. Havagudun bud.
My local pond is closed because of bad bacteria because of the hurricane

Isn’t a red fish a drum?
Correct.
@@BamaSaltwater so there’s freshwater,black,and red drum?
