Thanks for making this video. I had figured out the part of squeezing lightly several times before snapping it which does reduce the number of shattered tiles, but I had not thought of the blue tape idea. I will give it a try when I continue laying things out. Thanks again!
Wow love you guys, and it’s so crazy to come a cross this randomly when we were installing penny tile! You guys are so young and cute! And yet… somehow exactly the same.
Looking forward to trying this method tomorrow. I just cant seem to make the manual tile cutter work and was cracking tiles with nippers. Thanks for the video!
You guys are so cute. I am tiling my mother's backsplash this weekend with glass mosaic. This was a great tip, as I do the little cuts I left for the end. Grouting tomorrow. So not looking forward to that part.
all the vids i'm seeing are round/penny tiles (which i've never seen irl), but i'm hoping this works on hexagons. another vid said to nip from the side, and i just ordered the nippers, so hopefully i have some luck with one of these methods (or can get close enough that i can fix with a dremel) since i just need to replace one missing tile before listing an old 100yo house on the market (fingers crossed)..
This advice was extremely helpful. I finished a tile job that was at a standstill for several years. Grouting tomorrow.
Thank you for taking the time to make this. Very helpful. Love the smile!

can you tell me what tile cutter and penny tile brand you are using? Thank you for the tip. It gives me a motivation!

It case it wasn't obvious from the video, the tile is not made from actual pennies.
If you put your nippers half way on the tile it will not crack or break you don’t won’t but half of your tile inside the nippers
It is also may be possible to rent a tile cutting machine at Home Depot. They must have something like this.
Yes, they do rent wet saws for cutting tile but we found it didn't work well on sheeted penny tiles like this.
If you have a tile saw, keep the original packaging on and run it through the saw.
10 years later still cutting penny tiles 😂
Thanks So much
Thanks
Thanks, so much!
Send that on a tile saw with some frog tape on it
1 month later you'll have you shower pan finished. Get a wetsaw mate
