Great information! On my last trip, we used Genie Plus for the first time. We were flexible and ended up being able to ride everything we wanted in Hollywood Studios. There is definitely a learning curve with Genie Plus so please keep this series coming. 😊
Loving this series, Kayla and Mark Alan! Flexibility is definitely key for HS when rides are going down throughout the day. Though we definitely used that to our advantage during our spring break trip. We did Toy Story Mania during Early Entry and then went to ride a second time because the wait was still low, but the ride went down while we were in line. They scanned everyone on the way out and we received an any experience LL, which we later used for Smugglers Run in addition to the actual Smugglers Run LL that Standby Skipper had booked for us. It can also be tricky if Slinky is down first thing in the morning and LLs are not available at 7. LLs sold out almost immediately when it came back mid-day though we were not yet eligible to book. I still kept my search in Standby Skipper just to see what would happen and the captain did find one for us later that day like magic! I would have had to be on my phone constantly to find that one on my own.
That is AMAZING!!! I’m honestly always so floored by how well Standby Skipper WORKS. I feel like there’s always at least one thing that goes down at some point during my HS days 😅 Toy Story Mania is another great one to do for early entry for sure! Thank you so much for watching! 💛
Thank you!!! Honestly the hardest part is just getting everyone linked and set up, so as long as you take care of that beforehand, you’ll do great! (If you haven’t joined the Facebook group yet, there are loads of tutorials there to get it set up) I get my sunglasses from goodr! They are our favs for the park!
Another great video!! Hollywood Studios definitely gets packed quickly in the am. ROTR is one we rope drop if/when we rope drop. I agree with Mark getting too old for rope dropping 😂. Standby Skipper coming in clutch again (Love it!!). Tiff and I enjoy the ABC Commissary. If I were thee I’d ride TOT with ya Mark as I love that attraction. As far as the Muppets, I like Fozie Bear…. Walks Waka…. Lol. I’m not a fan of blue milk or green milk…. I’m team “no milk” 😂. Glad you’ll had a fun productive day. A ton of great info again. Thank you. 👍🏻👍🏻
We are totally with you there about Rope Drop! The Buffalo Grilled Cheese at ABC is our fav to get there. I can feel you on team no milk! Haha it’s definitely a very specific taste!
Thank you for this! We are going tomorrow - this is so helpful. So, just to clarify, after your first LL (SDD), which you set to “Anytime,” you would choose “As Soon As Possible” for the most part?
That is correct! Anytime for the first one (in case Genie+ decides to be glitchy) and the ASAP for all the rest! The only time I ever use the other options is if I’m doing some stacking or I’m specifically wanting to do a ride later in the day I also will sometimes change my search to anytime if it’s a sold out Lightning Lane, but only if it’s been a few hours and it still hasn’t snagged it. See my Epcot strategy for an example of that - th-cam.com/video/55h8ikU0SDo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=L42BQ_uv1pOw2CZp
I am with Mark Alan, I’m too old for that rope drop stuff haha. We rope dropped 4 times I think last week! By Thursday we were all pooped to the max and said I can’t do this again haha. I would definitely rope drop again but prob not 4 days in a row. Oooo will definitely be trying the plant based meatballs at Docking Bay 7! Y’all were able to do so much! What an awesome day! 😊
It’s an app! It’s pretty user friendly! I think the ‘hardest’ part is just getting everyone linked, (mostly cause it just takes a bit of time) but as long as you do that part before your trip, you should be just fine! You can learn more about how to get started here > standbyskipper.com (make sure you let them know we sent you when it asks how you heard about them!) You can also find more tutorials for things like set up on their Facebook group here > facebook.com/share/WzRW7ByHaVoY5DtR/?mibextid=K35XfP Or you can find more additional info n our blog post here > www.hemphillyeverafter.com/blog/my-favorite-way-to-maximize-disney-genie-standby-skipper
I was able to get the app and link my other person! So far it seems like it’s pretty easy to use. Thank You. I clicked the name Kayla as to where I heard about this. I would like to try it in Hollywood Studios in January. I’m taking my Step Son and he’s a HUGE Star Wars fan so I want him to see as much as possible. I think we’ll try and rope drop ROR and use this app for the rest of the day on the 1st day we are there. We’ll be back there a 2nd day and will just wing it best we can and try the reverse rope drop to ride ROR again. LOL. Thanks for the tips!
@tinabean0205 yay!! I’m glad you were able to get it set up! 😁 I think that sounds like a fantastic strategy. Make sure you guys give the blue & green milk a try! Haha

Standby Skipper really helps carry a lot of the load of arranging attraction times. Thanks for highlighting.
They definitely do! Thanks so much for watching! 😁

Thank you! We’ve definitely LOVED making this series! We are working on the Animal Kingdom one now! 💛

Thank you for making these videos. I am trying to learn about standby skipper for our next trip! Where did you get your sunglasses? I love them!

I’m with you there! HS is the only park I’m ever like you ‘have’ to rope drop hahaha otherwise… you’re lucky to see me in a park before 11am 😅
How do I get Standby Skipper? Is it an app? How user friendly is it because I’m a bit older gen and have some troubles with new tech stuff.

It is very easy to use. Its interface is rather basic, but the beauty of it is that it works in the background. It was well worth it.
