The game is a surface level JRPG. Upgrades don’t matter, there’s no elemental resistances or affinities, all of the staple FF mechanics are missing, and the side quests bog the game down. You’ll see why people complained, I got almost halfway through playing and stopped. Huge disappointment in the series
@@Nurix09 it’s just a button bashing game like DMC, Final Fantasy is supposed to be about strategy, elements, and exploiting weaknesses, but this game doesn’t give any of that, weapons are irrelevant and only boost a little strength

It’s a good game. It’s just not a Final Fantasy Game
It has about 15% of that Final Fantasy DNA in it.

@@tylerrobertson6228 that's why I said only about 15%. It has superficial Final Fantasy elements at best.
