What seems to drive him to skate seems vastly different than what motivates me. I am a lot older than him so having fun and being outside is what skating is about for me. With age and attached responsibilities skating becomes more like a favorite meal. You've had it many times, but you know it's a treat, and appreciate it every time you satisfy the craving. With his age and pro status, his skating is more like the diet of a weight lifter before a competition. Disciplined and calculated, and oriented towards a larger goal rather than flavor and nostalgia. Both are rewarding for the individual; which is why I say "Skate and let skate".

@@dorsmap All skate videos basically show people damaging private property because even the skating is damaging the property by waxing and grinding ledges and same with rails that leave marks and takes off paint and crumbles curbs so what does it matter that they are removing skate stoppers as well? It makes no difference really... and its not like the people who own the property are like, "oh thats nyjah huston taking off those skate stoppers and ruining our rails, he skates for Nike, lets sue them so we can get money to replace the skate stoppers and repaint the rails..." That just doesnt happen and if they got caught, even by police, they would just be told to gtfo or possibly get a trespassing ticket or something along those lines... And even if someone as paid as nyjah was looking as possibly facing a lawsuit, he would just pull out his checkbook and settle it right there and then because he got it like that.
