Thank you for Teaching with the inktense, Helen. I was just getting ready to sell my 72 boxes of blocks a d pencils. The colours are so vibrant I had trouble figuring out how to work with them. Beautiful work and explained well enough that mYbe this old lady just might be Ble to work with them thanks to the way you teach.❤
Aww my absolute pleasure. I actually have a playlist for Inktense. You can see them all here x th-cam.com/play/PLs4H0qOC8epWr8qXUhRTw0-fTdV6ifmKJ.html&si=rcBPZBw_xlg2mASz
🤦🏻♀️very pretty pelican 😂 d’oh! Thank you for doing these videos- I love inktense, they’re just so pretty, and it’s nice seeing different ways to use them 👍🏻
Smiling with joy watching you work. Your results with Inktense continues to amaze me. I'm getting better with them - because of your approach - but have a way to go. I'd abandoned them before coming across your videos. Thank you so much for the inspiration, Helen!
Wow! I am just amazed! I have both the inktense pencils and the blocks and had never seen them used in this way! Just brilliant! Your result is mesmerizing!
Hello Helen, and thank you. I was really struggling with very light transparent values while using Inktense pencils. But by using the techniques in this video, I have been able to overcome those issues. I’m now creating just the look I have been trying for. ***** Five stars for you! I’ve subscribed!
I find the way you use the Inktense pencils fascinating! I am going to try this project twice, once in the Inktense pencils and once with watercolors. My local art supply store carries them, and it gives me a good reason to visit them today while I am out! I have a few of the pencils, but not the "right" colors!
How beautiful this is Helen. I tried the Apple blossom using inktense and keeping in mind your tutorial which I listened to at least 3 times taking notes. But it still didn’t give me the effect I was looking for keeping as close as I could to the colours you had suggested. And I think I know what my problem is. Working with coloured pencil “illusions of” was not a technique. I’ve been very detail oriented without copying a photograph stroke for stroke; utilizing a lot of control. And so I have a tendency to be a bit too heavy handed as you had suggested. Not too mention I’m very impatient and often don’t allow one layer of paint to dry to accommodate the next layer. Glazing with CP is not quite the same as it is with a water medium. As frustrating as I am to i myself I’m still learning what I can or can not do. I will be trying it again today. Did I mention that I’m exceedingly tenacious and stubborn? Thank you Helen for another delightful and informative session. Sometimes I just want to watch and listen as I find your tutorials very soothing. My life is filled with so many stresses that I need to unwind and these tutorials are so relaxing.
Hi Elizabeth. I’m so glad that you’re enjoying my tutorials. And remember, everything takes time you need to be patient, although this is something I struggle with myself LOL. It is vital that you let your paint dry before you apply the next layer because as you know, it will spoil the paper and make your paint, bloom or worse. Still, lift off. Keep going, you’re doing great.
Wonderful! I've not long bought the Intense blocks, this has given me inspiration! Thank you. I love the way you make the swatch cards, that's a clever tip. I love the pencils, they have a great amount of pigment & they're vibrant. It's a change from my usual watercolor palette. The way you've mixed the colours on the paper. 🌺
Hi. You don’t need to join Patreon for the videos as they are free over on Facebook. The link to the Facebook group is in the description and they are all over there. It could be at the end of the video because I have started doing that too, but I can’t remember if I did in this one

Beautiful painting but isn’t it a flamingo? 🥰
Yes. I do say pelican in the intro but saw the error of my ways after uploading. I mention this in the write up
Did you know that a group of flamingos is called a “flamboyance?"
Is it? Gosh I’ve never heard of that x
First!
Excellent tutorial but dreadful “music “
Ah well. Did my best 🤷♀️
